3M Auto Glass Urethane Windshield Adhesive — 10.5 fl oz Cartridge Black, Fast‑Setting Non‑Sag

3M Auto Glass Urethane (08693) is a professional-grade, medium-viscosity urethane adhesive cartridge formulated to bond windshields and fixed automotive glass quickly and durably.

This 10.5 fl oz black cartridge is engineered for vehicle glass installation in industrial and occupational settings. It works with manual or pneumatic caulking guns and delivers a non-sag urethane that cures rapidly to create a high-strength, permanent bond for windshields and stationary glass components. The product is supplied for professional use; follow manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures when handling and installing.

How does this adhesive perform during windshield installations?

The formula is medium-viscosity for controlled application and resists sagging on vertical joints. It sets up quickly to reduce wait times and achieves the strength needed to hold glass securely in place while curing.

• Medium-viscosity non-sag formula for neat beads on vertical seams
• Compatible with manual and powered dispensing guns for consistent flow
• Fast-setting properties to shorten vehicle downtime
• Black finish for discreet bead appearance after installation

What safety and usage limitations should I know?

This adhesive is intended for trained technicians in industrial or occupational environments, not for casual consumer use. Observe ventilation, PPE, and vehicle manufacturer recommendations during preparation, application, and cure.

• For professional use only — not sold for consumer/home use
• Use in well-ventilated areas and with appropriate protective equipment
• Follow vehicle maker guidelines for primer and surface prep to ensure adhesion
• Allow recommended cure time before vehicle re-entry or driving

How long until the adhesive reaches full strength?

The adhesive develops initial handling strength relatively quickly and reaches full cure within a standard timeframe used in auto glass repair shops. Curing depends on temperature, humidity, and joint size, so ambient conditions affect the exact schedule.

• Rapid tack and early handling strength to secure glass after application
• Typical full cure reached in about 24 hours under normal shop conditions
• Warmer, more humid environments can accelerate cure; cold or dry conditions may slow it
• Always verify manufacturer cure guidance for safety before vehicle use

Which tools and surfaces are compatible with this cartridge?

The cartridge is designed to be used with standard caulking guns—manual or powered—making it flexible for different shop workflows. It bonds to typical automotive substrates when proper priming and surface prep are performed.

• Dispenses from 10.5 fl oz cartridge using manual or pneumatic guns
• Adheres to glass, painted metal, and common auto body substrates after prep
• Works with recommended primers and cleaners to maximize bond durability
• Non-sag consistency simplifies vertical and overhead applications
