3M Chrome and Metal Polish 39527 10 oz — Professional-grade metal polish to restore shine

3M Chrome and Metal Polish 39527 is a professional-grade 10 oz polish designed to clean, restore and brighten chrome, stainless and other metals on wheels, trim and bumpers.

Made for industrial and occupational use, this metal polish removes light pitting, spots and surface oxidation while producing a reflective shine. The formula works on several metals — including brass, bronze and copper — and is tailored for shops, detailers and fleet maintenance teams who need a dependable polish that helps return metal surfaces to a near-original appearance.

How does 3M Metal Polish improve the look of wheels and trim?

The polish lifts surface contaminants, reduces visible pitting and evens out tarnish to reveal underlying metal shine. It’s formulated to produce a glossy, reflective finish without excessive buffing, saving time on recurring detail jobs.

• Removes light rust, spotting and oxidation
• Restores reflective sparkle on wheel faces and trim
• Minimizes micro-imperfections for a uniform finish

Which metals is this product safe to use on?

3M 39527 is suitable for chrome, stainless steel, brass, bronze and copper surfaces. It’s intended for metal exteriors such as bumpers, decorative trim and alloy or steel wheel parts — avoid use on painted or anodized surfaces unless compatibility is confirmed.

• Chrome and stainless steel: primary recommended uses
• Brass, bronze and copper: polishing and brightening
• Not designed for painted, powder-coated or clear-coated finishes

How do I use this polish safely and effectively in a shop?

Apply a small amount to a clean cloth or polishing pad and work it into the metal with moderate pressure, following manufacturer guidance for speed and pad type. Wipe away residue and buff to a mirror-like sheen; repeat on heavily pitted areas as needed. Always follow workplace safety rules and product labeling.

• Use clean cloths or pads to avoid reintroducing grit
• Work in small sections for even results
• Remove residue and finish with a dry buff for maximum reflectivity

Are there any product limitations or important precautions?

This formula is for industrial/occupational use and not intended for consumer sale or household use. Avoid skin contact and inhalation, and keep away from children. Always test on an inconspicuous area to confirm compatibility before full application.

• Not for consumer or household sale/use
• Use in well-ventilated areas and follow PPE guidance
• Perform a spot test on delicate finishes
