8MILELAKE Disc Brake Caliper Compressor Wind-Back Tool Set, 24pc — Universal Adapters & Reversible Thrust Bolts

The 8MILELAKE 24-piece disc brake caliper compressor wind-back tool set is a professional kit for retracting caliper pistons to install new brake pads and shoes on most modern vehicles.

When changing brake pads or servicing calipers, pistons must be rotated and retracted safely to make room for new components. This compact, transportable kit organizes adapters and reversible thrust bolts to handle left- or right-threaded calipers commonly found on cars, light trucks and many 4x4 models. A durable case and protective gloves are included to keep components protected and your hands clean during use.

How does this set fit different vehicle calipers?

The kit includes a wide selection of adapter plates and a pair of reversible thrust bolt assemblies so you can match the tool to the piston face and thread direction. Adapters snap or screw into the thrust bolts to provide secure contact and prevent piston damage while rotating it back into the caliper body.

• 18 adapter plates covering many modern domestic and imported vehicles
• Left- and right-handed thrust bolts for clockwise or counterclockwise retraction
• Universal fit strategy for passenger cars, SUVs and light trucks

What exactly is included and how is it organized?

This 24-piece kit groups the thrust bolts, adapters, gloves and a sturdy carrying case for easy transport and storage. Each component has its place to reduce search time and protect small parts between jobs.

• Two reversible thrust bolt assemblies for dual-direction operation
• 18 assorted adapter plates to match piston face patterns
• Compact blow-molded storage case and a pair of protective gloves

Is the tool set suitable for 4x4s and heavier vehicles?

Yes — the design accommodates many four-wheel-drive models and larger passenger vehicles, thanks to robust materials and the included adapter range. While aimed at consumer and light-professional use, the set handles the higher-torque needs of most non-commercial vehicles.

• Durable metal thrust bolts for reliable torque transmission
• Adapters sized to engage larger piston faces used on SUVs and 4x4s
• Intended for brake calipers on light trucks and passenger vehicles

How do I use the compressor wind-back tool safely?

Always verify thread direction and select the matching thrust bolt, then choose the correct adapter for full piston contact. Work slowly while rotating the bolt to avoid stripping threads or damaging the piston; wear the included gloves and follow vehicle service manual torque and procedure guidance.

• Wear gloves and eye protection when servicing brakes
• Select adapter that seats fully against the piston face
• Rotate the correct-handed thrust bolt steadily until piston is fully retracted
