A ABIGAIL 4 AWG 2FT battery cable pair is a heavy-duty, pure-copper power lead set with 5/16" ring lugs at both ends, built for inverters, vehicles, boats, and solar systems.
These 24-inch battery wires combine flexible, high-conductivity copper conductors with tinned, corrosion-resistant ring terminals and heat-shrink sealed ends. The set includes one red positive and one black negative cable, each sized at 4 AWG to carry higher current loads safely across short runs. The PVC jacket is formulated to resist abrasion, moisture and heat for demanding automotive, marine, RV and solar applications.
Using properly sized 4 AWG leads reduces voltage drop and allows the connected inverter or accessory to draw more current with less loss compared to thinner wires. Short, thick cables like these are ideal for battery-to-inverter connections where high currents flow for short durations. The tinned lugs and sealed ends also reduce the chance of terminal corrosion that can increase resistance.
The cables are built with tinned copper lugs and a flexible PVC outer jacket that together resist oxidation, water exposure and abrasion better than bare copper ends. The tin plating on the terminals slows corrosion in salty or humid environments. Heat-resistant PVC also helps the jacket hold up near engine bays and battery compartments.
This kit contains two 24-inch (2 ft) cables: one red for positive and one black for negative, each terminated with a 5/16" ring terminal at both ends. Installation is straightforward: attach the correct polarity to the battery posts or inverter studs and secure with appropriate hardware. Always disconnect batteries before swapping cables and tighten lugs to the device manufacturer's torque specifications.
Yes—these 4 AWG, short-length cables suit many battery-to-inverter or interconnect needs where runs are brief and current requirements match the conductor rating. They are not intended for long-distance runs; for extended cable runs you should select larger gauge wire to limit voltage drop. Check your system’s continuous and peak current demands to confirm 4 AWG is sufficient.
Who is this for: This cable set is aimed at DIYers, mechanics, boat owners and solar hobbyists who need a compact, high-current connection between batteries and inverters or accessories. If you require a short, reliable pair of heavy-gauge leads with corrosion-resistant lugs and clear polarity marking, these 4 AWG 2 ft cables provide a practical, ready-to-install solution. Contact customer support for troubleshooting, replacement parts or refunds if any issue arises during use.
Q: Can these 4 AWG cables handle inverter startup currents?
A: Yes, for short runs 4 AWG supports typical inverter surge loads, but confirm your inverter's peak current and fuse protection first.
Q: Are the ring terminals corrosion-resistant for marine use?
A: Yes, the lugs are tinned to reduce oxidation and better withstand humid or saltwater environments.
