A ABIGAIL Air Intake Hose for Acura RDX 3.5L (2013–2018) — Direct-Fit Replacement, High-Temp Rubber

A ABIGAIL air intake hose is a direct-fit replacement intake duct tube for Acura RDX 3.5L models (2013–2018), engineered to route cool outside air to the engine while resisting heat and cracking.

This replacement air intake hose fits Acura RDX 3.5L vehicles from 2013 through 2018 and is designed to mirror the shape and mounting points of the original part (replaces part #17228-R8A-A00). Built from high-temperature rubber, the tube resists hardening, drying, and cracking that can cause air leaks or poor throttle response. It’s intended as an aftermarket OEM-fit option — not a factory-branded component — and ships with customer support for troubleshooting, replacement, or refund if issues arise.

Will this hose fit my Acura RDX 3.5L from 2013–2018?

Yes — this intake hose is manufactured to match the geometry and connection points of the stock duct for Acura RDX 3.5L years 2013 through 2018. Confirm fitment by comparing part numbers or checking compatibility with your VIN if unsure.

• Replaces OEM part number 17228-R8A-A00
• Direct replacement with matching mounting locations
• Compatible with RDX 3.5L models 2013–2018

How does this replacement hose affect engine performance?

The hose’s main role is to deliver cool, ambient air from the front of the vehicle into the throttle body or turbo inlet. A properly sealed, undamaged intake tube prevents unmetered air leaks that can cause rough idle, poor fuel economy, or check-engine lights; replacing a cracked hose helps restore consistent airflow and sensor readings.

• Ensures steady airflow to the throttle body or turbo inlet
• Reduces risk of vacuum leaks that disrupt engine sensors
• Helps maintain consistent air-fuel mixture for drivability

What materials and durability features does this hose offer?

The tube is molded from high-temperature rubber formulated to withstand engine-bay heat and resist the drying and cracking that shorten service life. Its flexible compound also absorbs vibration and aligns with stock connector geometry for a snug fit without modification.

• High-temperature rubber construction for heat resistance
• Flexible design to absorb engine vibration and movement
• Manufactured to meet or exceed OEM fit standards (aftermarket part)

What should I expect for installation and service support?

Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic engine-bay work: remove clamps and retainers, swap the old hose for the new tube, and re-secure clamps. If you run into fitment questions or defects, the seller provides customer service for troubleshooting, replacement, or refund options.

• Simple clamp-and-fit installation; no special tools required
• Instructions: remove old hose, inspect connections, install new hose, tighten clamps
• Post-sale support available for defects or fitment issues

Who is this for? This A ABIGAIL air intake hose is aimed at Acura RDX owners (3.5L, 2013–2018) who need a cost-effective, reliable replacement for a cracked, hardened, or leaking intake duct. It’s appropriate for DIY mechanics who want a direct-fit aftermarket alternative to the factory part and for service shops performing routine intake maintenance or repairs. If you require a genuine OEM-branded component, verify with your dealer; otherwise this OEM-fit replacement is a practical option to restore proper airflow and prevent drivability issues.
