ACDelco DEX-COOL Extended Life Coolant 1 Gallon - Orange OAT Antifreeze, Pre-Mixed

ACDelco 10-101 DEX-COOL Extended Life Coolant is a 1-gallon, orange-colored antifreeze formulated to provide long-lasting engine protection and corrosion inhibition for compatible GM and non-GM vehicles.

This 1-gallon bottle of ACDelco 10-101 contains DEX-COOL chemistry designed for extended service intervals and year-round temperature protection. It comes pre-mixed concentrate ready for topping off or complete cooling system fills depending on vehicle requirements, and includes a bittering agent to discourage accidental ingestion. Use with the correct vehicle specifications and follow manufacturer mixing and service guidelines.

What makes this coolant different from conventional antifreeze?

ACDelco 10-101 uses an OAT (organic acid technology) DEX-COOL formula that focuses on extended corrosion protection without relying on silicates or phosphates. Its formulation aims to reduce the frequency of coolant changes when used in compatible systems and helps maintain aluminum and other common engine metals.

• DEX-COOL OAT chemistry for long-life protection
• Orange color for easy identification and leak detection
• Contains bittering agent to reduce ingestion risk
• OEM-compatible for many GM vehicles and other makes specifying DEX-COOL

How should I use ACDelco 10-101 in my vehicle?

Follow your vehicle manufacturer’s coolant recommendations before adding or replacing coolant. The product is supplied ready to use at the stated formula; some repairs or drain-and-refill jobs may require a specific mix ratio or system flush—consult your owner’s manual or a service technician.

• Check owner’s manual for DEX-COOL compatibility and fill instructions
• Perform a cooling system flush if changing from a different coolant type
• Top off when the engine is cold and system pressure is relieved
• Use proper disposal methods for old coolant per local regulations

What performance and safety features should I expect?

This coolant offers freeze/boil protection typical of long-life formulations when used at the correct concentration and provides corrosion inhibitors tailored for modern engine alloys. The included bittering agent is a safety feature to deter accidental ingestion; always handle with gloves and keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Long-life corrosion inhibition for engine metals and cooling components
• Freeze and boil protection when mixed per vehicle requirements
• Bittering agent for ingestion deterrence and added safety
• Orange dye aids visual inspection and leak spotting

Who is this product best suited for? Vehicle owners, technicians, and fleet managers who need a DEX-COOL compatible coolant for GM and other vehicles specifying OAT DEX-COOL formulas will find this 1-gallon ACDelco product useful. It’s appropriate for routine maintenance, topping off between service intervals, and for use during scheduled coolant replacements when the system requires DEX-COOL chemistry. If your vehicle manual requests a different coolant type or a silicate/phosphate-based formula, choose a product that matches that specification instead.
