If your vehicle needs a dependable replacement cooling pump, the ACDelco Gold 252-996 delivers a factory-style fit and durable components to restore coolant flow through the radiator and engine. Built as an aftermarket premium option, this water pump includes the necessary gaskets, seals, and O-rings so you receive all parts required for installation and to reduce the chance of leaks after service. The Gold series balances robust materials and manufacturing controls to meet fit, form, and function expectations across many applications.

How does this pump keep engine temperatures stable?

The ACDelco Gold pump moves coolant through the engine and radiator to maintain consistent heat transfer and reduce hot spots. Its impeller and shaft assembly are engineered to provide steady flow rates under normal operating conditions, helping the cooling system perform as designed.

• Precision-engineered impeller for consistent coolant circulation.
• Heat-treated shaft assemblies resist deformation under load.
• Permanently sealed, lubricated bearings for smooth rotation.
• Includes seals and O-rings to reduce risk of leaks at installation.

Will this water pump fit my vehicle and what parts come with it?

The Gold 252-996 is specified to replace particular OE numbers and fits a range of GM and many non-GM applications; verify compatibility with your vehicle year, make, and engine before ordering. Each unit ships with the gaskets, seals, and O-rings necessary for a standard replacement to simplify installation and reduce downtime searching for additional parts.

• Designed as an all-makes replacement that covers GM and various non-GM vehicles.
• Complete kit includes pump plus installation seals and O-rings.
• Manufactured to match OEM fitment dimensions and mounting points.

How durable is the ACDelco Gold water pump compared to typical aftermarket options?

Durability features are built into the pump where it matters: a heat-treated shaft and high-quality, permanently lubricated bearings improve resistance to wear and help extend service life. Coated seals and rigorous testing during production further reduce the chance of premature leaks or failures.

• Heat-treated shaft assemblies for enhanced strength.
• Coated seals add longevity and resistance to coolant-related degradation.
• Sealed bearings come pre-lubricated for long-life operation.
• Factory testing for leak-free performance before shipment.

What should I expect during installation and routine service?

Installation mirrors typical water pump replacement procedures and is simplified by the inclusion of required seals and O-rings; still, follow vehicle-specific torque specs and coolant-flushing recommendations. After installation, check for leaks and proper coolant flow during the initial run-in period and after a short driving distance.

• Comes with necessary gaskets and O-rings to streamline replacement.
• Follow manufacturer torque specs and cooling system bleeding steps.
• Inspect for leaks and verify proper coolant circulation after installation.
