ACDelco Gold spark plug wire set 9726UU (88862391) — direct-fit, high-temp silicone, fiberglass-reinforced

The ACDelco Gold 9726UU (88862391) spark plug wire set is a premium replacement wiring kit engineered with fiberglass-reinforced conductors and high-temperature silicone insulators to restore reliable spark delivery and OEM-style fit.

This ACDelco Professional wire set is designed as an aftermarket, direct-fit replacement for many domestic and import vehicles. Built to match the fit, form, and function of factory wiring, the set emphasizes durable materials, corrosion-resistant terminals, and precise boot geometry to help maintain engine performance and reduce misfires. Covering more than 96% of domestic vehicles via the ACDelco program, this kit is intended for technicians and DIYers who want a long-lasting, serviceable ignition wiring solution.

How does this wire set improve spark delivery compared to worn wires?

The Gold 9726UU uses a conductive core and controlled wire dimensions to optimize spark energy transfer from the ignition coil to the plug. That design reduces energy loss and maintains a stronger, more consistent spark under load and at higher temperatures.

• Fiberglass-reinforced conductor for mechanical strength and consistent conductivity
• Diameter and length selected to balance resistance and flexibility
• High dielectric insulator to limit leakage and RFI (radio frequency interference)

What features ensure a water-tight, secure fit during installation?

Boot shape and material are matched to common OEM configurations so the wires seat properly on plugs and distributors/coils. Precision terminals and boot materials reduce the chance of arcing, moisture intrusion, and poor contact over time.

• Molded boots shaped for correct plug and coil seating
• Terminal design that improves plug retention and eases installation
• Coil retainer included to prevent fretting and micro-arcing at connection points

Which durability elements help these wires last under harsh conditions?

Materials were selected to withstand heat, vibration, and chemical exposure commonly found in engine compartments. The combination of high-temperature silicone and corrosion-resistant terminals extends service life compared with economy wire sets.

• High-temperature silicone insulators resist heat and oil exposure
• Corrosion-resistant terminal finishes to preserve electrical contact
• Robust construction to resist abrasion, stretching, and engine vibration

Will this set fit my vehicle and how does it compare to OEM wiring?

ACDelco Professional wire sets are designed to match OEM fit, length, and connector type for a straightforward swap. They are intended as a premium aftermarket alternative, meeting or exceeding the original equipment design in materials and performance for common domestic makes and many imports.

• Covers a broad range of domestic vehicles and many import applications
• Engineered to match OEM boot angle, terminal type, and wire routing
• Sold as a complete set for easy replacement and correct firing order
