ACDelco Oil Filter Kit PF2270G (12730579) — GM Original Equipment, Direct-Fit OE Replacement

This oil filter kit from ACDelco is the same design used or approved by General Motors for many Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac engines. Built to match OE specifications, the PF2270G provides filtration and flow characteristics intended to meet the demands of GM powertrains. Whether you perform routine maintenance or restore a GM vehicle, this kit is positioned as a direct-fit replacement that aligns with factory tolerances and service schedules.

How does this filter protect internal engine parts?

The PF2270G captures abrasive particles before they reach bearings, hydraulic lifters, and other precision surfaces. Its media and construction aim to balance filtration efficiency with stable oil flow to maintain lubrication under normal driving conditions.

• Engineered media traps contaminants that cause wear
• Seals and housing sized for consistent oil pressure
• Designed for compatibility with GM engine oil flow paths

Will this fit my GM vehicle and match OE specifications?

ACDelco GM Original Equipment parts are designed and validated by GM engineers to fit specific models and years. The PF2270G is listed as part number 12730579 for applications that match that OEM reference; always cross-check with your vehicle’s parts catalog or VIN to confirm fitment.

• Manufactured to GM design and validation standards
• Direct-fit dimensions and sealing surfaces for intended models
• Matches OE reference numbers for easier identification

What should I know about installation and maintenance?

Installation follows standard oil filter service procedures: drain oil, remove the old filter, prepare the new filter gasket with a light oil coating, and torque according to vehicle specifications. Replace the filter at manufacturer-recommended intervals or during every oil change for best results.

• Follow vehicle manual torque and replacement intervals
• Use fresh oil compatible with your GM engine specifications
• Inspect sealing surface and O-ring for proper seating

Why choose an ACDelco GM Original Equipment filter over aftermarket alternatives?

These filters are part of the OEM supply chain or validated by GM, which can reduce fitment ambiguity and ensure design intent is preserved. For owners who prefer factory-equivalent parts, the PF2270G represents continuity with original production standards.

• Backed by General Motors engineering and validation
• Updates reflect GM’s material and technology improvements
• Potentially simpler parts cross-referencing at dealerships and service centers
