Akebono Ultra-Premium Ceramic Rear Brake Pads ACT1086A — Grey, OE-Fit Low-Dust Quiet Performance

Akebono ACT1086A Ultra-Premium Ceramic rear brake pads are OE-grade ceramic replacements engineered to restore quiet, low-dust braking performance for specific domestic and Asian vehicles. These rear brake pads from Akebono's ProACT line pair ceramic friction material with OE-style shims and backing plates to address noise, vibration and dust while matching the pedal feel drivers expect from factory parts. Akebono supplies many automakers with original equipment brake pads, and the ACT1086A is designed as a direct-fit, vehicle-specific replacement that fits into the same caliper geometry as your OEM rear pads.

How do these pads reduce noise and vibration?

The ACT1086A pads use tailored ceramic friction compounds and anti-noise shims to dampen vibration and minimize audible squeal. The material formulation and precise backing plate tolerances reduce the tendency for harmonic vibration that causes brake noise.

• Engineered ceramic friction for smoother micro-engagement
• Pre-installed shims to isolate vibration from the caliper
• Precision backing plate fit to limit movement and chatter

Will these pads produce less brake dust and keep wheels cleaner?

Ceramic formulations typically generate finer, lighter-colored dust that clings less to wheel surfaces than semi-metallic alternatives. Akebono's ultra-premium ceramic compound is formulated to reduce visible buildup, helping wheels retain a cleaner appearance between washes.

• Low-dust ceramic material for reduced wheel soiling
• Light-colored residue that is easier to remove
• Consistent wear characteristics for predictable dust generation

Are these pads a straightforward, vehicle-specific replacement?

Yes — the ACT1086A is a vehicle-specific fit part designed to match OEM pad shape and dimensions for compatible applications. The package contains rear pads engineered to drop into the original caliper hardware without the need for modification when matched to the correct vehicle fitment.

• Vehicle-specific fit for direct replacement installation
• OE-style backing plate and mounting geometry
• Package weight and dimensions suitable for safe shipping and storage

What packaging and sizing details should I know before ordering?

The product ships in a compact package that protects the pads and hardware while keeping freight costs reasonable. Check your vehicle fitment against part ACT1086A to ensure the pad set matches your rear calipers and mounting points.

• Package length: 8.25 inches for compact storage
• Package width: 15.25 inches and height: 13.25 inches
• Item package weight: approximately 4.76 pounds for a rear pad set
