AKM Spotless Water System deionized car wash tank - 9.5L pre-filled resin, bypass valve & garden hose quick connectors

The AKM Spotless Water System is a portable, pre-filled deionized (DI) water tank that connects to a garden hose to deliver spot-free rinses for cars, RVs, motorcycles, bikes and boats.

If mineral-rich tap water is leaving water spots after every wash, this compact AKM DI system removes dissolved ions so that the final rinse evaporates without mineral deposits. The unit ships pre-filled with 9.5 liters of mixed bed resin inside a durable 9"×20" FRP tank, includes quick connectors and a TDS pen for on-the-spot quality checks, and offers a simple bypass valve to save resin during general washing.

How does this system prevent water spots on vehicles?

The AKM system removes the mineral ions (calcium, magnesium and other dissolved solids) that cause spotting when water dries. By switching to the DI rinse for the final pass, you avoid mineral residue and the need to towel-dry or use drying aids.

• Mixed-bed resin adsorbs dissolved ions for near-zero TDS output.
• Use bypass mode for soaping and switch to DI for the final rinse to conserve resin.
• TDS meter included to confirm deionized water (ppm readings).
• Produces a rinse that evaporates without visible mineral deposits.

What comes in the box and how easy is it to set up?

The AKM kit is designed for quick, tool-free setup: tank already pre-filled with resin, hose connectors and simple valve fittings mean you can start using it within minutes. Everything needed for standard garden hose hookups is included, and the compact FRP tank with polyester cover is transportable for mobile use.

• 9"×20" fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) tank with polyester cover.
• 9.5 liters of mixed-bed resin pre-filled (fills to ~10 L with water).
• 3/4" garden hose quick connectors, double female connector, PTFE tape and black handle.
• TDS meter pen for measuring water parts per million (ppm).

How does the bypass valve save resin and extend service life?

The integrated valve has a simple handle you flip between bypass and filtration. Keep the system in bypass while soaping and rinsing to save the deionization for the final step, reducing overall resin consumption and stretching the interval between recharges.

• Bypass mode for general washing preserves DI resin capacity.
• Filtration mode used only for final rinse minimizes resin usage.
• Easy mechanical switch—no disassembly or tools required.
• Extends time between resin replacements for lower cost of ownership.

How do I service or refill the resin when it’s exhausted?

The AKM tank is built for reuse: you empty the spent mixed-bed resin and refill with the replacement AKM 10L mixed DI resin (replacement packs sold separately). Because the tank is FRP and durable, typical maintenance only involves replacing resin rather than the container.

• Pour out used resin and refill with AKM replacement mixed-bed resin (10 L recommended).
• No cartridge housings to discard—just replace resin for less waste.
• Reconnect hoses and test output with the included TDS pen.
• Durable FRP tank designed for repeated service cycles.

Who this is for: The AKM Spotless Water System is aimed at detailers, RV owners, boaters and vehicle enthusiasts who want a reliable way to eliminate water spots without heated dryers or drying towels. It’s especially useful for mobile detailers or homeowners with mineral-heavy tap water who prefer a simple garden-hose hookup, measured results with a TDS pen, and a reusable tank design that keeps ongoing costs focused on resin replacement.
