Allstar Performance lower radiator hose 1-3/4" x 16-1/2" — two-ply abrasion-resistant, heat-tolerant

Allstar Performance ALL30224 is a two-ply, abrasion-resistant lower radiator hose sized 1-3/4" x 16-1/2" built to flexibly route coolant while resisting cracking and hardening.

This replacement lower radiator hose is designed for reliable coolant transfer in a range of vehicle applications. Constructed with two plies for strength and an abrasion-resistant outer cover, it balances flexibility with durability so it bends around tight engine bay paths without becoming brittle over time. The hose ships in compact packaging and is vehicle-specific fitment; confirm compatibility with your vehicle before purchase.

What materials and construction keep this hose flexible yet durable?

The ALL30224 uses a two-ply construction that combines an inner coolant-compatible layer with a reinforced outer ply to resist abrasion and maintain shape under pressure. This layered design reduces the chance of collapse while still allowing the hose to contour around engine components. The external cover is formulated to remain pliable and avoid cracking or hardening from heat cycles and environmental exposure.

• Two-ply build for strength plus flexibility
• Abrasion-resistant outer cover to prevent wear from contact
• Heat-tolerant compound engineered to stay pliable over time
• Sized 1-3/4" inner diameter by 16-1/2" length for accurate routing

How do I know this hose fits my vehicle?

The product is vehicle-specific and fits multiple makes and models; fitment should be verified before installation. Use your vehicle’s year, make, model and engine size to cross-check the ALL30224 against the manufacturer’s fitment guide or consult a parts specialist. Keeping the original hose on hand during comparison helps confirm length, diameter, and bend geometry match.

• Check year/make/model and engine specification for compatibility
• Compare existing hose measurements and bend profiles
• Contact Allstar Performance or your parts supplier for fitment verification

What performance can I expect after installation?

Once installed, this lower radiator hose provides consistent coolant flow and resists common failure modes like abrasion and brittle cracking. Its flexible profile helps avoid stress at clamps and connections, while the reinforced construction supports pressure cycles without collapsing. Regular checks for leaks, soft spots or swelling will extend service life.

• Maintains coolant circulation under normal operating conditions
• Resists abrasion where it rubs against engine components
• Designed to withstand repeated heat and pressure cycles
• Helps prevent clamp-area failures with flexible routing

How easy is it to replace the lower radiator hose myself?

Replacing a lower radiator hose is a straightforward maintenance task for most DIYers with basic tools and safety precautions. Drain the coolant to a safe level, remove hose clamps, and swap the old hose for the ALL30224, ensuring a snug clamp fit and proper orientation. Refill coolant and check for leaks during a short test drive or warm-up cycle.

• Requires basic hand tools and coolant-safe drain pan
• Confirm hose orientation before tightening clamps
• Refill and bleed cooling system per vehicle instructions
• Inspect clamps and connection surfaces for corrosion or damage

Who is this for: The Allstar Performance ALL30224 lower radiator hose is aimed at vehicle owners, mechanics and restoration enthusiasts who need a dependable, flexible replacement hose that resists abrasion and long-term hardening. It fits applications where a 1-3/4" ID and 16-1/2" length are required, and it’s a sensible choice for routine cooling-system maintenance, weekend repairs, or when upgrading worn original equipment hoses. Always verify fitment for your specific vehicle and follow standard coolant safety and disposal practices when replacing hoses.
