Alpena 16" VR Carbon Wheel Covers, Set of 4 Black Rim Covers — 3-Step Retention & ABS Durability

Alpena VR Carbon 16" wheel covers are a set of four European-made black rim covers designed to refresh steel wheels quickly using a secure 3-step retention system.

These Alpena hub caps give worn or rusty steel wheels a clean, modern look without the cost or effort of replacing rims. Constructed from high-grade ABS plastic and produced in Europe, the VR Carbon covers balance durability and style. Each kit includes four 16-inch covers engineered to resist weathering and mount firmly to most standard steel wheels.

How do I fit the Alpena VR Carbon covers to my wheels?

Installation is straightforward and usually takes about ten minutes per wheel for most DIYers. The covers use an adjustable inner ring and a three-step retention mechanism that helps lock the cover in place and align it properly on the wheel.

• Remove old hubcaps and clean wheel rim area before mounting.
• Position cover over wheel, engage the inner ring, then complete the 3-step retention clicks.
• No specialized tools required; use included instructions for specific alignment tips.

Will these hub caps fit my car’s wheels?

Alpena VR Carbon covers are made to be compatible with most steel wheels that accept 16-inch hub caps. Because they have an adjustable inner ring, they accommodate small variations in wheel designs across sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs and light trucks.

• Designed for standard 16" steel wheel applications.
• Adjustable retention ring handles minor diameter differences.
• Suitable for a range of passenger vehicles and light commercial models.

How durable are these rim covers in different weather conditions?

The covers are molded from high-grade ABS plastic chosen for its resistance to cracking, fading and corrosion when exposed to road salt, rain, and sun. While not indestructible, they are engineered to withstand seasonal temperature swings and general road wear better than thinner alternatives.

• ABS construction resists UV fading and temperature stress.
• Protects underlying steel from surface rust and debris buildup.
• Black finish conceals minor scuffs and maintains a consistent look.

What styling and maintenance should I expect with these hubcaps?

The VR Carbon design offers a contemporary black finish that updates a vehicle’s appearance without permanent modification. Maintenance is minimal—periodic cleaning and routine inspection of the retention system will keep the covers looking and performing well.

• Wipe clean with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Inspect retention ring and mounting points after heavy impacts or rough driving.
• Replace a single cover easily if damaged — sold as a set of four for full vehicle upgrades.

Who is this for: Drivers who want an affordable, bolt-on cosmetic upgrade for steel wheels—Alpena VR Carbon 16" covers are ideal for owners of sedans, hatchbacks, compact SUVs and light trucks who prefer a durable, European-made hub cap with straightforward installation and a modern black appearance.
