AODESTINY 8" Heavy Duty J Hooks, 2-Pack Yellow Zinc Grade 70 Tow Hooks — 5,400 lb WLL Each

AODESTINY 2PCS 8" Heavy Duty J Hooks are forged Grade 70 tow hooks rated for 5,400 lbs each, finished in yellow zinc to resist corrosion for transport and cargo securement.

These clevis-style J hooks are engineered for professional transport use: heat-treated, forged steel construction that accepts transport chain or binder fittings easily and holds loads securely during towing, hauling, or load restraint operations. The set includes two 8-inch hooks designed to mate with standard transport chains and double-clevis hardware so you can latch and release quickly while maintaining high strength under heavy loads.

How strong are these J hooks for towing and load restraint?

Each AODESTINY J hook is made from Grade 70 high-strength steel and heat treated to reach a working capacity of 5,400 pounds, suitable for many commercial and light-industrial applications. The rating reflects the hook’s ability to withstand tension when used with compatible transport chain and hardware.

• Forged Grade 70 steel construction for high tensile strength
• Rated at 5,400 lbs working capacity per hook
• Heat-treated to improve durability under repeated load cycles
• Designed to pair with transport chains and clevis connectors

What design features make these hooks easy and safe to use?

The J hook profile includes a widened throat and smooth winder channel so chain links feed through cleanly and seat securely without catching. A yellow zinc-plated finish protects the metal from rust and corrosion, extending service life when used outdoors or in wet environments.

• Winder throat guides chain for secure seating
• Smooth interior to reduce chain wear and snagging
• Yellow zinc plating for enhanced corrosion resistance
• Clevis-compatible shape for simple attachment and removal

Which applications are these 8" J hooks suited for?

These hooks are intended for transport, cargo securement, and towing tasks where Grade 70 chain systems are specified. They work well on trailer axles, tie-down points, and any bridle or chain assembly used to restrain heavy items in transit.

• Securing heavy cargo on flatbeds and trailers
• Connecting to safety chains or binder chains for transport
• Use with double clevis or chain links for towing setups
• Industrial load restraint and general-purpose hauling

How should I match these hooks with chain and hardware?

Pair the J hooks with Grade 70 transport chain, appropriately sized clevises, and other high-test load binders rated for equal or greater capacity. Always follow the chain and binder manufacturer’s instructions and never exceed the lowest working load limit in your assembly.

• Use with Grade 70 chain and compatible clevis links
• Ensure all components meet or exceed the 5,400 lb rating
• Inspect fittings before each use for wear, deformation, or corrosion
• Do not use for overhead lifting or where shock loads can occur

Who is this for? If you work in transport, hauling, fleet maintenance, or industrial load restraint and need reliable, forged-steel connectors, the AODESTINY 2PCS 8" J Hooks offer a robust option. They are best for technicians and operators who require Grade 70 strength, quick chain engagement, and extra corrosion protection for outdoor service. These hooks are not intended for overhead lifting or non-rated uses—use them where rated transport chain and securement hardware are required.
