Aprvtio WJL-6000PRO Refrigerant Leak Detector for HVAC — PPM & %LEL Dual-Mode, Metal Probe, 20hr Battery

The Aprvtio WJL-6000PRO is a professional HVAC refrigerant leak detector that combines ultra-sensitive PPM sensing with %LEL safety monitoring for both traditional and A2L refrigerants.

This compact, rugged detector is built for HVAC technicians, auto mechanics, RV owners and serious DIYers who need fast, reliable refrigerant leak locating on service calls. It pairs a metal, wear-resistant probe with auto-calibration, adjustable sensitivity, audible and visual alarms, and an 1800mAh rechargeable battery so you can find micro leaks and verify safety concentrations without constant battery swaps or fragile tips.

How quickly and accurately will it find refrigerant leaks?

The WJL-6000PRO delivers near-instant response and rapid gas identification so you can diagnose and move on. Expect initial detection in about 2 seconds and clear refrigerant type identification within roughly 10 seconds for most common gases.

• 2-second response time to refrigerant presence for fast pinpointing
• Approximately 10-second identification for many refrigerant types
• Dual-mode readings: parts-per-million (PPM) for micro leaks plus %LEL for safety checks
• Auto-calibration minimizes false positives after warm-up in fresh air

Which refrigerants and situations does it cover?

This detector is calibrated to recognize a broad range of refrigerants, from legacy CFCs and HCFCs to HFCs, HFOs, hydrocarbon blends and common mixed blends, plus 5% hydrogen/nitrogen test gas. That makes it versatile across residential, commercial and automotive HVAC systems.

• Detects CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, HFOs, blends, PFCs and hydrocarbons like R290
• Works with modern A2L refrigerants as well as traditional refrigerants
• Suitable for system checks on home, auto, RV and light commercial equipment
• Includes %LEL mode for safety monitoring of flammable refrigerants

What features improve durability and day-long use on the job?

Aprvtio built the WJL-6000PRO for field work: an all-metal probe resists dirt and wear, the unit includes an 1800mAh rechargeable cell for long runtimes, and a mute option helps when audible alarms are disruptive.

• All-metal probe is wear- and dirt-resistant for tough jobsite use
• 1800mAh battery delivers over 20 hours of operation per charge
• Type-C charging for convenient recharging between calls
• Audible siren plus visual readout, with mute button for quiet environments

How do adjustable sensitivity and auto-calibration help on real jobs?

Adjustable sensitivity lets you lower false triggers in high-background areas and fine-tune detection when tracing tiny leaks. Auto-calibration at power-on stabilizes readings so you get consistent PPM and %LEL values without manual recalibration.

• Fine-tune detection to avoid constant alarm in high-concentration spaces
• Auto-calibration on startup provides reliable baseline measurements
• %LEL and PPM modes let you prioritize safety checks or pinpointing small leaks
• Fast, stable readings reduce on-site diagnostic time

Who is this for? The Aprvtio WJL-6000PRO is designed for HVAC technicians, refrigeration service professionals, automotive A/C specialists, RV owners and homeowners who want a durable, multi-mode leak detector capable of handling both tiny leak detection and flammable-refrigerant safety checks. It’s a practical choice for anyone who needs fast identification across a wide range of refrigerants and durable, all-day performance on service calls.
