ASA Electronics Jensen 5.25" Dual-Cone Waterproof Marine Speakers — Black Pair, Shallow 1.5" Mount

Compact, marine-grade 5.25" dual-cone speakers built for outdoor and RV use — fully waterproof with UV and salt-spray resistance, sold as a pair. The Jensen MS5006BR are 5.25-inch dual-cone speakers engineered to deliver clear audio where exposure to water, sunlight and salt is a concern. With a shallow 1.5-inch mounting depth and a black grille, they fit tight spaces typical in RVs, boats, patios and outdoor enclosures while resisting corrosion and UV damage. These speakers balance size and durability to provide reliable sound without complicated installation or frequent maintenance.

How do these speakers hold up in outdoor and marine environments?

The MS5006BR pair is built to withstand moisture, direct spray and prolonged UV exposure. Jensen designed them to meet ASTM B117 salt-spray and ASTM D4329 UV-exposure standards, so the components resist corrosion and sun degradation better than standard indoor drivers.

• Completely waterproof construction for wet environments
• ASTM B117 salt-spray compliant to resist corrosion
• ASTM D4329 UV-compliant materials to limit fading and cracking

What sound performance can I expect from a 5.25" dual-cone speaker?

These dual-cone drivers use a polypropylene woofer with a Mylar whizzer tweeter to extend treble and deliver balanced midrange for voice and music. With a sensitivity of 86 dB and a frequency response that starts around 79 Hz, they provide clear playback at conversational and moderate listening levels suitable for small to medium outdoor areas.

• Max power handling: 30 watts per speaker for peak demands
• Sensitivity: 86 dB @ 1W/1m for efficient output from low-power amps
• Frequency response: 79 Hz–20 kHz for full-range casual listening

Will these fit in tight RV or marine mounting locations?

Yes — the MS5006BR was engineered for constrained installations. The total mounting depth is only 1.5 inches, making it suitable for panels, shallow pods and compact enclosures where standard speakers won’t fit.

• Mounting depth: 1.5 inches for slim-profile installs
• Mounting hole diameter: 4-3/8 inches, grille diameter: 5-15/16 inches
• Nominal impedance: 4 ohms for compatibility with typical audio systems

How easy is installation and what should I verify before buying?

Installation is straightforward: cut the recommended mounting hole, connect to a compatible 4-ohm circuit, and secure the speaker in place. Confirm your enclosure depth, grille clearance, and amplifier power to match the speaker's physical and electrical specs for optimal results.

• Sold as a pair — two-mount installation included
• Check amplifier power; recommended to stay within the 30W max handling
• Confirm mounting hole (4-3/8") and grille clearance (5-15/16") before cutting

Who is this for

The Jensen MS5006BR pair is ideal for RV owners, boat builders, deck and patio upgrades, or anyone needing small, weatherproof speakers that fit shallow mounting locations. Choose these if you want durable, affordable outdoor audio with straightforward compatibility for 4-ohm systems and limited installation depth.
