AUTO METER Autogage 3-in-1 Console Gauge 2.3125in Black Dial/Bezel — Oil, Water & Volt Mechanical Readouts

The AUTO METER 2397 Autogage is a compact 2.3125-inch black-dial console that displays oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage in a single mechanical instrument built for low- or no-power electrical systems.

This triple-function gauge console brings three essential engine readings—oil, water and electrical system voltage—into one tidy, durable package. Designed for street and performance applications, the 2397 Autogage uses reliable mechanical movements and requires no electrical power to indicate oil and water readings, making it especially useful in older vehicles, race cars, or any build with limited electrical resources. A black dial and black bezel create a classic, low-profile appearance that integrates cleanly into most dashboards.

How does this gauge display three functions in one unit?

The Autogage consolidates oil pressure, coolant temperature, and system voltage into a single 2.3125-inch console by using internal bronze bourdon tube movements and a multi-gauge dial layout. The proven 270-degree sweep gives visible, easy-to-interpret needle travel for each parameter without needing separate instruments.

• Bronze bourdon tube 270° sweep for accurate mechanical indication
• Durable nylon gearing for consistent needle response
• Black dial and bezel for low-reflection, readable display
• Integrated triple readout reduces dash clutter

Will this gauge work in a vehicle with minimal electrical power?

Yes — the oil and water indications operate mechanically and do not rely on vehicle electrical power, so the 2397 is ideal for cars with weak or no electrical systems. Voltage is indicated as a separate function, using the included components where required.

• Oil and water readings function without electrical input
• Includes adapters and fittings for straightforward plumbing and sensor hookup
• Useful for race cars, vintage vehicles, or stripped-down builds

What installation components come with the gauge?

The Autogage ships ready to install with a bulb and socket assembly featuring red and green covers, plus a set of NPT fittings for oil and water connections. These accessories make the initial mounting and setup faster and help integrate the console into many vehicles with minimal extra parts.

• Bulb and socket assembly with red and green bulb covers included
• Adapter kit: 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT fittings
• Pre-configured for quick dash or console mounting

How durable and reliable is the movement inside the gauge?

The internal movement combines bronze bourdon tubes with rugged nylon gearing to withstand repeated use in demanding conditions. AUTO METER’s street and performance lineup has used this approach for decades, offering long service life and consistent performance.

• Bronze bourdon tubes resist wear from pressure cycling
• Nylon gears balance toughness with smooth needle action
• Proven design used by enthusiasts for over 25 years

Who this is for: The AUTO METER 2397 Autogage is aimed at budget-conscious performance builders, classic car owners, and racers who need three essential engine measurements in a compact, dependable package. It's a practical choice when dash space is limited or when you want reliable mechanical oil and water readings in vehicles with weak electrical systems. If you value compact instrumentation, proven mechanical movements, and straightforward installation accessories, this console offers a balanced, affordable solution.
