Automkt Tailgate Hinge Bushing for Toyota Tacoma Rear Right, 2016-2023 Nylon 2-Pack, Flush Mount

Automkt 2PCS tailgate hinge bushings are a direct-fit nylon replacement designed to steady the rear tailgate of 2016–2023 Toyota Tacomas by reducing shake and wear.

When your Tacoma tailgate feels loose, rattles while driving, or shows uneven movement, worn hinge bushings are often the cause. These Automkt bushings match the OEM mounting footprint and part reference (replace part number 66143-04021) while offering a durable nylon construction and brushed finish that fits flush with the tailgate hinge assembly. Sold as a two-count set for the rear right side, they restore proper alignment so the tailgate opens, closes and holds position more reliably.

How will these bushings improve my tailgate’s behavior?

Replacing degraded or missing bushings tightens the connection between the tailgate and hinge, cutting down vibration and sloppy movement. Improved stability reduces stress on the hinge hardware and prevents the tailgate from banging or sagging during fuel stops, highway travel, or loading.

• Restores firm pivoting action and reduces rattles on rough roads.
• Prevents tailgate sag that can strain latches and cables.
• Lightweight nylon resists corrosion and maintains smooth motion.

Are these bushings easy to install on a Tacoma?

Yes — Automkt designed these bushings for plug-and-play replacement that aligns with existing hinge holes. Installation typically requires basic hand tools and minimal mechanical experience, and no custom modifications are needed.

• Direct-fit for 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma right-side tailgate hinge.
• Flush-mount profile sits level with the hinge for clean fitment.
• Two-hole pattern matches OEM mounting; install in minutes.

What are the material and durability benefits of this part?

Made of engineered nylon, these bushings balance toughness with low friction to give lasting service life under typical driving loads. The brushed finish resists surface wear, and the nylon composition helps prevent corrosion and metal-on-metal contact that accelerates hinge wear.

• Nylon construction reduces noise and friction at the hinge pivot.
• Brushed finish helps mask road wear and looks factory-installed.
• Durable under temperature swings and exposure to road salts.

Will these bushings match OEM parts and fit my Tacoma model year?

These Automkt bushings are produced to replace OEM part number 66143-04021 and are intended for 2016 through 2023 Toyota Tacoma models. They are manufactured to match the mounting orientation, hole spacing, and flush-mount styling of the original components.

• Replace part number: 66143-04021 — compatible with specified Tacomas.
• Sold as a 2-count set to complete the rear right-side hinge swap.
• Meant for direct replacement with no additional hardware required.
