Battery Tender charging adapter (male) 081-0069-5 — compact plug for secure, low-resistance connections

The Battery Tender Battery Charg Adapt Male (MfrPartNo 081-0069-5) is a compact male charging adapter that lets you connect Battery Tender chargers to compatible battery ports quickly and securely.

Designed as a straightforward accessory for the Battery Tender family of chargers, this male adapter provides a reliable electrical connection when the original terminal interface doesn’t match your battery or vehicle hookup. It’s sold new for retail customers and labeled under manufacturer part number 081-0069-5. Lightweight and simple to use, the adapter is intended to streamline charging tasks for motorcycles, ATVs, lawn equipment, and other small vehicles that accept a male-style charger plug.

How does this adapter make connecting a charger easier?

The adapter creates a direct, low-resistance link between a Battery Tender charger and a battery or harness that accepts a male plug. That reduces the need for improvising with clamps or temporary connections and helps maintain consistent charging. It’s a plug-and-play solution for matching connector types without rewiring.

• Provides a secure male connection for compatible Battery Tender chargers
• Minimizes voltage drop with a properly sized contact
• Avoids ad-hoc clamp setups that can be loose or unsafe

Will this fit my charger and vehicle or battery?

Compatibility depends on matching the adapter’s male plug style to the mating socket on your battery harness or accessory. This part is intended as a direct accessory for Battery Tender systems and is most useful when you already own a charger from the same brand. Check your battery or vehicle’s connector type before purchase to ensure a proper fit.

• Designed for use with Battery Tender chargers and compatible sockets
• Verify connector shape and pin size against your device
• May be used with motorcycle, ATV, lawn, and similar equipment

How do I install and use the Battery Tender male adapter safely?

Installation is generally straightforward: align the male plug with the corresponding female socket, insert fully, and confirm a snug connection. Always disconnect power before making or breaking connections and consult your charger’s manual for any model-specific instructions. Avoid forcing the plug if it doesn’t seat smoothly to prevent damage.

• Turn off the charger before connecting or disconnecting
• Insert the male plug straight into the matching socket until it seats
• Inspect contacts for corrosion and clean before use for best performance

What should I expect in terms of durability and care?

This adapter is built for regular, light-to-moderate use typical of seasonal charging tasks. Protect it from prolonged exposure to water, salt, and extreme temperatures to extend life, and store it with your charger when not in use. Periodic visual checks will help you catch wear or corrosion early.

• Store indoors to reduce exposure to weathering
• Wipe contacts clean if dirt or corrosion appears
• Replace if contacts become loose or visibly damaged

Who is this for: This Battery Tender male charging adapter is aimed at vehicle owners and maintenance enthusiasts who already use Battery Tender chargers and need a compatible male plug for occasional charging tasks. It’s suitable for motorcycle riders, powersports owners, lawn and garden equipment users, or anyone needing a reliable accessory to bridge connector types without altering existing wiring. If you require a ruggedized, waterproof connector for harsh outdoor use, consider looking for a sealed adapter variant or a model specified for heavy-duty environments.
