Big Hippo Thickened Windshield Cover for Large SUVs & Pickups 70.86 x 42.5 in Silver, 3-Layer Windproof Ice & Sun Protector

Big Hippo Thickened Car Windshield Cover is an all-weather protector that shields large SUVs and pickup truck windshields from ice, snow, sun, leaves and bird droppings while staying securely fastened in wind.

Whether you live where winter frosts overnight or baking summer sun ages dashboards, this extra-large windshield cover is built to save time and protect your vehicle. The three-layer construction combines a reflective PEVA exterior, waterproof middle layer and soft spunlace cotton lining so the glass and paint remain scratch-free. Thoughtful fastening details — elastic mirror straps, door-security flaps and ropes for wheel anchors — keep it in place through heavy winds and storms. The 70.86" x 42.5" size is tailored for large SUVs, pickups and vans; we recommend measuring your windshield to confirm fit.

How does this cover cut down on morning ice and snow scraping?

The thickened panel forms a physical barrier that prevents snow and ice from bonding to your windshield. In freezing conditions you simply peel the cover off and your windshield is ready, eliminating scraping or pouring hot water.

• Heavy-duty outer layer blocks snow and sleet.
• Waterproof core stops moisture from freezing to glass.
• Peels off in seconds—no scraping required.
• Includes a bonus snow shovel for heavy accumulations.

Will this shield also help in summer and during pollen seasons?

Yes. The silver PEVA reflective surface reduces sun exposure and UV transfer, helping to keep cabin temperatures lower and protect dash finishes. In spring and fall, the cover prevents leaves, dust and bird droppings from accumulating on the windshield and wiper blades.

• Reflective foil deflects solar heat and UV rays.
• Keeps wiper blades and glass free from debris.
• Useful year-round for seasonal protection.

How secure is the cover in strong winds and can it damage paint?

The design emphasizes a windproof fit and paint-safe materials. Security flaps tuck inside the car doors to prevent theft, extra ropes anchor to wheels, and elastic mirror straps hold the edges; meanwhile, the inner spunlace cotton lining is soft to avoid scratching glass or hood paint.

• Door flaps lock the cover in place without tools.
• Elastic straps anchor around side mirrors for stability.
• Soft inner lining protects glass and surrounding paint.
• Durable seams and ropes resist storm gusts.

Does the size fit my vehicle and what should I check before buying?

This model measures 70.86" x 42.5" and is intended for large SUVs, pickup trucks and vans. To ensure coverage, measure your windshield’s width and height at the widest points and compare to the listed dimensions; coverage can vary with mirror position and hood slope.

• Measure windshield width and height before ordering.
