BougeRV 12V Portable Refrigerator 30 Quart (CR28) — -8°F Fast-Cool, Low-Power for RVs & Trucks

The BougeRV CR28 is a 30‑quart portable compressor refrigerator that runs on 12/24V DC or 110–240V AC and cools down to as low as -8°F for road, RV, and outdoor use.

Compact and purpose-built for vehicles and small spaces, this BougeRV 12‑volt refrigerator combines fast compressor cooling, low power use, and practical protections so you can keep food and drinks chilled or frozen on trips. The unit ships with an insulated cover, DC and AC power cords, and a user manual; BougeRV provides two years of technical support for setup and troubleshooting.

How quickly will the CR28 lower temperatures?

The CR28 uses a compressor system designed for rapid temperature drops: under lab conditions it reaches 32°F from 77°F in about 15 minutes and can get down to -5°F in roughly 50 minutes. Performance depends on ambient temperature and load—pre-chilling contents helps achieve lower temperatures faster.

• Fast-cool compressor technology for quick temperature recovery
• Measured cooling: 77°F to 32°F in ~15 minutes (empty)
• Measured cooling: 77°F to -5°F in ~50 minutes (empty)
• For best results, pre-cool food and drinks before loading

What are the power requirements and energy costs?

This fridge accepts 12V or 24V DC for vehicle use and 110–240V AC for home or shore power. It runs efficiently in ECO mode at about 36W and uses up to 45W on MAX, meaning daily energy draw is well below 1 kWh with typical cycling.

• Compatible with 12/24V DC and 110–240V AC
• Eco operating power ≈ 36W; MAX ≈ 45W
• Low daily consumption due to intelligent cycle control
• Includes both DC and AC power cords for flexible use

Will it work reliably on the road and protect my vehicle battery?

The unit is engineered for mobile use: low noise (about 45 dB), shock‑resistant construction, and stable operation up to a 30° tilt for uneven roads. An adjustable three‑level battery protection monitor lets you set cut‑off voltages so the fridge won’t deplete your vehicle’s battery.

• Low noise operation ~45 dB for quiet overnight use
• Shock‑proof design tolerating 30° inclination off‑road
• 3‑level battery monitor with selectable shutdown voltages
• Lightweight footprint: 22.68 × 12.60 × 15.53 in; 24.14 lb

What accessories and support are included?

The CR28 ships complete with an insulated cover sized for the 30QT refrigerator, DC and AC power cords, and a user manual. BougeRV also provides two years of technical support to help with installation, settings, or operational questions.

• Included insulated cover for improved efficiency and protection
• DC and AC power cords included—ready for vehicle and home use
• User manual plus 2‑year BougeRV technical support

Who is this for: The BougeRV CR28 30QT fridge is built for road trippers, RV and camper owners, overlanders, boaters, and anyone who needs a reliable cold‑storage solution away from the kitchen. If you want fast cooling, low energy draw, quiet operation, and built‑in battery protection in a portable package, this compressor fridge is a practical choice. Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight to prevent door deformation and reduced cooling efficiency.
