C-Tzu Thermostat Housing Assembly Aluminum — Direct-Fit for Buick Encore & Chevy Cruze, Corrosion-Resistant

C-Tzu's upgraded aluminium thermostat housing assembly replaces OE numbers 25200455, 55565336 and others to restore coolant flow and provide a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant fit for Buick and Chevy models.

This replacement thermostat housing is engineered as a direct-fit component for a range of GM compact SUVs and sedans, including Buick Encore (2013–2021), Chevy Cruze (2011–2016), Sonic (2012–2020) and Trax (2013–2021). Built from higher-grade aluminium and designed to match original mounting points and coolant passages, it aims to deliver reliable cooling system performance without modifications. The unit is supplied ready to install and cross-references multiple OE numbers to simplify part matching.

How does this housing improve durability compared with the factory plastic piece?

The C-Tzu aluminium housing is made from a more robust metal alloy that resists cracking, warping and long-term corrosion better than many original plastic housings. Because aluminium tolerates repeated thermal cycling and road contaminants, it lowers the chance of coolant leaks over time.

• Fabricated from higher-grade aluminium for improved strength
• Corrosion-resistant surface finish to reduce oxidation
• Engineered to withstand higher temperature and pressure cycles
• Less prone to stress fractures than many OEM plastics

Will this unit fit my vehicle and replace my existing thermostat housing?

This assembly is a direct-replacement designed to match OEM mounting points and coolant connections for the listed models. It cross-references several original equipment numbers, so you can verify compatibility with your vehicle’s current part number before purchase.

• Compatible with Buick Encore 2013–2021 and Chevy Cruze 2011–2016
• Also fits Chevy Sonic 2012–2020 and Chevy Trax 2013–2021
• Replaces OE numbers 25200455, 55565336, 55579010, 55593034, 131-180 and more
• Designed for bolt-on installation with factory hoses and sensors

How does this housing affect engine cooling performance?

The unit maintains proper coolant routing and thermostat seating to help the engine reach and hold its designed operating temperature. Its aluminium construction offers improved heat dissipation compared with many polymer housings, helping the cooling system perform reliably under load.

• Precision coolant passages for consistent flow
• Thermostat seat engineered for accurate temperature regulation
• Aluminium body helps dissipate heat more effectively than plastic
• Reduces risk of hotspots from localized failures

Is installation difficult and what should I expect during replacement?

Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with routine cooling-system work. The housing is made to fit existing bolts, sensors and hoses so no modifications are typically required, though a coolant drain and proper torqueing of fasteners are necessary steps.

• Direct-fit design uses factory mounting locations and seals
• Simple hand tools, coolant drain and gasket or O-ring replacement required
• Follow torque specs and bleed the cooling system after installation
• Installation time varies by vehicle but is usually a moderate DIY job

Who is this for: The C-Tzu aluminium thermostat housing assembly is aimed at owners and technicians who need a durable, OEM-compatible replacement for failing thermostat housings on Buick Encore and Chevy Cruze, Sonic or Trax models. It’s suited to those who prefer metal replacements over plastic for longevity, professional repair shops replacing parts by part number, and DIYers seeking a reliable direct-fit component that matches OE specifications and multiple cross-reference numbers.
