CALPALMY Magnetic Baggage Door Catches for RVs — 4-Pair Black Kit, Screw-On Weather-Resistant Hold

CALPALMY magnetic baggage door catches secure raised RV and camper storage doors for hands-free loading and unloading. These magnetic door holders are a low-profile, weather-resistant alternative to brittle plastic spring clips for travel trailers, motor homes, campers and boat hatches. Each screw-on catch uses strong magnets housed in durable ABS plastic to keep baggage doors locked open with a simple snap—no straps, no clamps, and no fiddly clips that wear out. The kit comes in a multi-pair option so you can outfit multiple compartments or replace aging hardware in one go.

How do these magnetic catches hold a raised baggage door in place?

The catches engage when the door is lifted and the two magnetic halves align, producing an instant, firm hold. Magnets provide a constant pull without moving parts, so there’s no spring fatigue or mechanical failure over time.

• Ultra-strong magnets provide consistent holding force.
• ABS plastic housings protect magnets from impacts and weather.
• Screw-on mounting ensures a rigid, long-lasting fit.

Will they resist outdoor exposure and road vibration?

Yes—these catches are designed for vehicles that spend extended time outdoors. The ABS casing offers robust protection for the magnetic core, and the hardware mounting minimizes rattling under travel conditions.

• Durable ABS enclosure improves UV and moisture resistance.
• Screw mounting reduces loosening compared with adhesive fixes.
• Suitable for RV exteriors, boat hatches and travel trailers.

How easy is installation and alignment?

Installation is straightforward and typically takes only a few minutes per catch. The kit includes screws; mount one half to the door and the matching half to the vehicle body, then adjust so the two halves meet squarely to maintain full magnetic strength.

• Included screws for immediate mounting.
• Align catches so faces meet directly for optimal hold.
• Simple tools (drill or screwdriver) required—no wiring needed.

Can these replace old plastic spring clips effectively?

They are an excellent hands-free alternative to brittle or worn plastic clips. Magnets eliminate repetitive clipping motions and common failure points, providing a quieter, more durable solution for frequently used baggage doors.

• Removes need for manual clipping and unclipping.
• Reduces replacement frequency compared with plastic springs.
• Ideal where a clean, unobtrusive hold is preferred.

Who is this for For travelers and RV owners who want a dependable, low-maintenance way to keep exterior storage doors open, the CALPALMY magnetic catch kits are a practical upgrade. Choose the 4-pair kit to outfit several compartments or to have spare catches on hand for quick replacements.
