Camco Brass Quick Hose Connect 20135 — solid brass, low-lead quick-disconnect with auto shutoff

The Camco 20135 Brass Quick Hose Connect is a solid-brass quick-disconnect that lets you attach and detach garden hoses instantly while automatically shutting off the water when disconnected.

This compact coupling replaces threaded hose fittings for faster swaps between hoses, nozzles, filters or RV water connections. Built from durable brass with compliant low-lead construction, the Camco 20135 combines reliability with code-friendly materials so you can use it around the house, campsite or garden without worrying about corrosion or lead-content restrictions.

How does the quick-connect mechanism work?

The Camco 20135 uses a spring-loaded sleeve that locks a mating quick-connect fitting into place. When you pull back the sleeve the fitting releases and an internal valve automatically stops water flow, keeping hoses dry and preventing leaks.

• Push-to-connect operation for one-handed use
• Spring sleeve secures and releases fittings quickly
• Internal shutoff valve stops water when disconnected
• Compatible with standard quick-connect hose fittings

Will the brass construction hold up outdoors?

Yes — solid brass resists rust and handles regular outdoor use far better than plated metals or plastic. The Camco 20135 is machined from brass to provide strength at threaded joints and longevity against weather exposure.

• Solid brass body for corrosion resistance
• Durable under garden and RV conditions
• Smooth threads reduce wear and leaks at connections
• Built to withstand repeated connects and disconnects

Is it safe for potable water and compliant with lead laws?

The Camco 20135 is CSA low-lead certified and meets California AB1953 and Vermont Act 193 requirements, making it suitable where low-lead components are required. This makes the fitting a reliable option for applications that call for reduced lead content in plumbing parts.

• CSA low-lead certification included
• Complies with California AB1953 and Vermont Act 193
• Appropriate for many potable water accessory uses
• Manufactured to current low-lead standards

How will this speed up my garden or RV routine?

Swapping accessories becomes a fast, one-handed task instead of fumbling threaded connections. The automatic shutoff also cuts water waste and keeps fittings and hoses from dripping once disconnected.

• Quick swaps between nozzle, wand, filter, or hose
• Automatic shutoff prevents drips and messes
• Saves time when changing attachments or winterizing
• Reduces wear on hose threads from constant screwing

Who is this for: The Camco 20135 Brass Quick Hose Connect is ideal for homeowners, gardeners, and RV owners who want a durable, easy-to-use quick-disconnect that reduces drips and speeds attachment changes. Choose this brass coupling if you need a corrosion-resistant fitting that meets low-lead regulations and performs reliably outdoors for frequent use.
