Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Car Wash Soap 1 Gal — Matte-Safe, Foam Cannon & Wrap-Safe

Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Car Wash Soap is a matte-safe, non-gloss auto wash formulated to gently lift dirt and road grime without adding shine, usable in foam cannons, foam guns, or two-bucket washes.

Matte and satin finishes look striking but demand specialized care — ordinary shampoos, detail sprays, and waxes can create unwanted gloss or leave residues. Meticulous Matte was engineered to clean thoroughly while preserving the flat appearance of matte paint and vinyl wraps: its low-foaming, slick formula removes contaminants and helps prevent micro-scratches without introducing gloss-enhancing polymers.

How does Meticulous Matte protect matte paint during a wash?

The formula prioritizes lubrication and contaminant suspension so abrasive particles rinse away rather than grind into delicate matte finishes. It contains no waxes or gloss enhancers that would alter the appearance of satin and matte surfaces.

• High-slip surfactants reduce friction between mitt and paint.
• No shine-boosting polymers or wax additives.
• Suspends dirt and road grime for safer rinsing.
• Safe for all automotive colors and wrap materials.

Can I use this soap with a foam cannon or a two-bucket method?

Yes — Meticulous Matte is formulated to work effectively in both foam delivery systems and traditional bucket washes. Adjust dilution to control foam thickness in guns and cannons or follow the bucket ratio for a safe hand wash.

• Foam cannon/gun dilution: start at 2 oz per fill of warm water; adjust for thicker foam.
• Two-bucket wash ratio: 1 oz per 5-gallon soap bucket for routine cleaning.
• Rinse mitt in a separate clean-water bucket to avoid recontamination.
• Use a dedicated third bucket for wheels and tires to prevent cross-contamination.

What types of surfaces and vehicles are compatible with this wash?

Designed specifically for matte and satin automotive paints and vinyl wraps, this wash is also safe for standard paints and most RV and trailer exteriors. It cleans all common vehicle brands without affecting finish texture.

• Safe for matte paint, satin finishes, and vinyl wraps.
• Compatible with cars, trucks, SUVs, and RVs from major brands.
• Works on painted, wrapped, and coated surfaces without adding shine.
• Fruity bubble gum scent for pleasant wash sessions.
