COLLINITE 476 Super Doublecoat Paste Wax — 9 fl oz Carnauba + Polymer, High Gloss & Long-Lasting Hydrophobic Protection

COLLINITE 476 Super Doublecoat Wax is a carnauba and polymer paste wax that delivers deep, warm gloss and months of durable, water-beading paint protection for cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Built on an 80-year heritage, Collinite No. 476 blends premium #1 carnauba with modern polymers to create a paste wax that’s easy to apply, resilient against the elements, and visually rewarding. It’s formulated to provide a natural-looking shine without the brittle feel of some older carnauba products and resists washout and UV stress far longer than conventional waxes. The 9 fl oz size is convenient for DIY detailers and pros alike who want lasting results without the time investment of coatings.

How long will the protection last on my vehicle?

Expect extended durability compared with typical paste waxes—many users report effective hydrophobic performance for 7–10 months under normal conditions. Longevity will vary based on exposure to driving, climate, and maintenance habits. Reapplication intervals can be stretched if you wash with pH-neutral shampoo and avoid aggressive mechanical polishing.

• Typical durability: 7–10 months in moderate conditions
• Best retention: stored indoor or garage-kept vehicles
• Maintain with gentle washes to preserve beading and gloss

Will this work on all paint types, including metallic and clear coats?

Yes—COLLINITE 476 bonds to modern OEM clear coats and basecoats as well as painted surfaces on motorcycles and trucks. Its formula tolerates light surface contaminants, so perfect, surgical-level cleanliness isn’t always required before application. For deepest reflectivity, apply after safe washing and light decontamination.

• Safe on clear coats, single-stage, and metallic paints
• Tolerant of light surface residue—no multi-step prep mandatory
• Works equally on two- and four-wheeled vehicles

How do I apply it for the best gloss and hydrophobic performance?

Work in small panels using a soft foam or wool applicator, buff off with a plush microfiber towel, and allow the paste to thermally set if possible. Thin, even layers provide better optical depth and easier removal than heavy globs. For routine maintenance, a single coat every several months is usually sufficient.

• Apply thin, even coats with foam or wool applicator
• Allow brief dwell time, then remove with a clean microfiber towel
• Polish lightly to reveal warm, reflective depth and bead water

What sort of finish does it create—glassy, warm, or synthetic?

COLLINITE 476 produces a warm, deep sheen thanks to high-grade carnauba while polymers add surface resilience and hydrophobic behavior. The result is a natural, dimensional finish rather than the overly glossy, plastic look some pure synthetics create. It’s chosen when a rich, classic appearance and long-lasting protection are priorities.

• Warm, natural carnauba depth with reflective clarity
• Polymer-enhanced durability and beading
• Balanced look—no overly slick or artificial gloss

Who is this for? Collinite 476 Super Doublecoat Wax is aimed at owners who want a time-tested, easy-to-use product that blends traditional carnauba warmth with modern polymer endurance. It suits DIY enthusiasts, weekend car show exhibitors, and professional detailers who need a dependable, long-lasting finish without resorting to multi-step coating systems. Choose it if you value extended protection, strong water beading, and a rich, classic shine for cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
