CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Tire Inflator 150 PSI — Portable Pump with Digital Gauge, Onboard Storage

The CRAFTSMAN V20 Air Compressor Portable (CMCE521B) is a cordless, high-pressure inflator that delivers up to 150 PSI with a digital gauge for accurate, portable inflation of tires and sports gear.

Compact and battery powered, this tool is part of the CRAFTSMAN V20 system and brings a cordless solution to inflating car tires, bike tires, sports balls, and small inflatables. Its D-handle form with rubber overmold balances comfort and control while onboard storage keeps the tapered nozzle, needle, and Presta adapter with the unit. The digital readout shows pressure within a narrow accuracy window so you can stop guessing and get the correct PSI quickly.

How precise is the CRAFTSMAN V20 inflator for setting tire pressure?

The inflator uses a digital pressure gauge designed to provide consistent readings with about a ±2 PSI variance in tested situations. That level of accuracy is useful for everyday vehicle and bicycle inflation where correct PSI matters for safety and ride quality. The clear display makes it easy to monitor pressure as you fill.

• Digital gauge for straightforward numeric readings
• Reported accuracy around ±2 PSI on tested applications
• Ideal for topping off automotive and bike tires and inflating sports equipment

What kinds of inflation tasks can this 150 PSI pump handle?

With a maximum pressure of 150 PSI, this CRAFTSMAN inflator covers a wide range of uses: car and truck tires, bicycles (Schrader and Presta with adapter), volleyballs, footballs, and small inflatables. It’s not intended as a replacement for large-capacity shop compressors for heavy-duty continual use, but it excels at on-the-go, intermittent inflation jobs.

• Auto and light truck tire inflation up to high PSI requirements
• Bike tires with included Presta adapter for road bikes
• Sports balls and small inflatables using the tapered nozzle and needle

How portable and user-friendly is the CMCE521B in real use?

The cordless design frees you from power cords or vehicle adapters, letting you inflate tires at the roadside, in the garage, or at a park. Onboard accessory storage keeps the nozzle, needle, and adapter attached for quick access, while the ergonomic D-handle with rubber overmold reduces hand fatigue during use.

• Operates on CRAFTSMAN V20 battery packs (battery sold separately)
• Compact footprint for easy storage in trunk or toolbox
• Onboard accessory storage prevents lost parts and speeds setup

What should I expect about durability and compatibility?

The inflator is designed as a portable hand tool within the CRAFTSMAN V20 ecosystem, built for occasional to regular use rather than continuous industrial pumping. It connects seamlessly with other V20 batteries and follows typical consumer tool durability standards—suitable for roadside emergencies and home maintenance.

• Part of the CRAFTSMAN V20 cordless system for battery compatibility
• Robust build for everyday garage and field use
• Not intended for nonstop, heavy industrial inflation cycles

Who is this for: The CRAFTSMAN V20 Air Compressor Portable CMCE521B is aimed at drivers, cyclists, and active households who want a reliable cordless inflator for occasional to frequent tasks. It’s a good fit for anyone already invested in the CRAFTSMAN V20 battery platform or those who need a compact, accurate pump for roadside tire topping, bike maintenance, and sports equipment inflation without hauling a larger compressor.
