How does this filter help my Quiet Diesel QD generator?

The 1220893 oil filter traps metal particles, soot and other contaminants that accumulate in engine oil during operation. By removing debris, it reduces wear on bearings, camshafts and other critical parts, supporting consistent oil pressure and engine performance. Installing a fresh filter at each oil change preserves engine cleanliness and helps maintain fuel efficiency indirectly through reduced friction.

• Cummins-engineered filter media for contaminant capture
• Durable sealing gasket to prevent leaks
• Compact dimensions for easy storage and handling

How do I install the CUMMINS 1220893 oil filter?

Installation follows standard spin-on filter procedures: drain oil to the recommended level, remove the old filter, lubricate the new gasket, hand-thread the new unit and tighten to the manufacturer’s torque or turn specification. Always clean the mounting surface and check for damaged threads before installing. Dispose of used oil and the old filter according to local environmental regulations.

• Drain oil from generator before removal
• Clean mounting flange and inspect threads
• Lightly oil gasket, hand-thread, then tighten per specs
• Check for leaks after first short run
