Dazakoot 7-Way Round Trailer Plug & Socket Set — SAE J560 Zinc Die-Cast with Spring-Loaded Dust Cover

The Dazakoot 7-Way Round Vehicle Side Plug & Socket Set is a heavy-duty, SAE J560–compatible 7-pin connector designed to replace worn trailer sockets and restore full lighting, brake, and auxiliary power functions on trucks and trailers.

This compact replacement socket and plug pair follows SAE J560 wiring standards so it integrates with most North American commercial towing systems. Built from zinc die-cast metal with a spring-loaded dust cover, the unit resists abrasion and contaminant ingress while providing a straightforward wiring layout for quick swaps or upgrades. The design supports lighting circuits, electric brakes, reverse lamps, auxiliary power and a reliable ground connection, making it a complete vehicle-side solution for trailers and towing equipment.

How does this plug and socket restore trailer wiring quickly?

The Dazakoot set mirrors the standard 7-pin pinout so you can reconnect vehicle-side wiring without reconfiguring trailer harnesses. Its user-friendly terminal layout and robust construction reduce installation time and minimize troubleshooting after replacement.

• Predefined SAE J560 pinout for turn signals, taillights, brakes, reverse, aux and ground.
• Clear terminal access for each wire to speed up crimping or soldering.
• Die-cast body that resists bending or deformation during installation.
• Spring-loaded dust cover keeps contacts clean while not in use.

Will this withstand harsh road and weather conditions?

The zinc die-cast metal housing and silver metal dust lip deliver mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. The spring-loaded cover reduces dirt, moisture and salt exposure to the internal pins, helping maintain consistent electrical contact over time.

• Zinc die-cast construction for impact resistance and longevity.
• Sealed dust cover that closes automatically when unused.
• Metal lip design that reduces wear at the mating interface.
• Suitable for commercial and agricultural environments where debris and moisture are common.

What tools and steps are needed to install it properly?

Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic vehicle wiring: access the vehicle-side harness, match each wire to the corresponding pin, secure connections, then test circuits. No special control modules are required because the unit follows the standard seven-wire configuration.

• Tools: wire stripper, crimps or solder iron, screwdrivers, and multimeter for testing.
• Step 1: Disconnect battery and expose vehicle-side harness.
• Step 2: Match wires to the SAE J560 pinout and secure with crimps or solder.
• Step 3: Mount socket, snap on dust cover, then test all lights and brake circuits.

Can this replace specific OEM or legacy trailer fittings?

Yes — the Dazakoot 7-pin round socket is intended as a drop-in replacement for many common 7-way sockets and compatible with several legacy part references used across semi trucks, pickups and tractors. It fits applications that expect the standard round SAE J560 interface, making it a practical option for repairs and upgrades.

• Compatible with many 7-way OEM replacements and legacy models.
• Designed for standard vehicle-side mounting on trailers and trucks.
• Works with electric brake controllers and trailer lighting harnesses using SAE wiring.
• References often replaced: various Velvac, Philips, Tectran and PDC style sockets.

Who is this for? Dazakoot's 7-Way Round Vehicle Side Plug & Socket Set is aimed at fleet managers, truck owners, farmers, mechanics, and DIYers who need a durable, standards-compliant replacement for worn or damaged tow connectors. If you service trailers or tow regularly and need a rugged, easy-to-install socket that follows SAE J560 wiring conventions, this set gives a practical, long-lasting solution without electrical rewiring or adapter clutter.
