DEGEOBERLIN Titanium adhesive-backed heat shield 12" x 24" — 2500°F radiant-heat protection, thin flexible thermal barrier

DEGEOBERLIN Titanium adhesive-backed heat shield (12" x 24") is a high-temperature thermal barrier mat engineered to block radiant heat up to 2500°F and simplify installation behind grills, exhausts, and hot surfaces.

This adhesive-backed thermal blanket combines basalt-based layers and a titanium-like outer surface to create a thin, flexible barrier that resists very high heat while remaining easy to shape and apply. Designed for automotive, home and workshop uses, the 12" x 24" panel installs quickly on flat or curved surfaces to cut radiant heat, protect nearby materials and help reduce corrosion risk in hot environments.

How does this shield reduce heat near an outdoor grill or fireplace?

The DEGEOBERLIN shield reflects and blocks radiant heat with a high-temperature surface and dense basalt core. It lowers heat transfer and helps prevent scorching or damage to walls, floors, cabinets and nearby components.

• Reflective titanium-style facing minimizes radiant heat transfer.
• Basalt fiber layers tolerate continuous 1800°F and intermittent 2500°F exposure.
• Adhesive backing enables close contact for more effective protection.
• 12" x 24" size covers common trouble spots behind grills and stoves.

Can I use this on vehicle exhausts, mufflers, or engine bays?

Yes — the mat is suitable for many automotive hot zones where a thin, heat-resistant barrier is required. It can be wrapped, layered or applied to reduce radiant heat reaching wiring, hoses, battery areas or body panels.

• Works for mufflers, catalytic areas, fuel tanks and engine compartments.
• Thin 0.032" (0.8 mm) format conforms to curved components for tight coverage.
• Adhesive backing creates a clean installation on flat spots; wrap techniques work for pipes.
• Helps lower local temperatures to protect heat-sensitive parts and finishes.

How easy is it to install and shape for different surfaces?

Installation is straightforward for DIY or professional use: cut to fit, peel the backing and press into place for flat areas, or secure with clamps, ties or high-temp tape when wrapping. The mat trims with hand tools and holds its shape when wrapped.

• Peel-and-stick adhesive speeds installation on clean, dry surfaces.
• Can be cut with scissors or a utility knife for a custom fit.
• Wrap around hoses, wires or pipes and secure with high-temp tape or ties.
• Suitable for both retrofit and new-install applications in homes and vehicles.

What performance and safety features should I expect from this 12" x 24" panel?

The mat combines a corrosion-resistant outer layer with basalt fiber insulation to handle extreme temperatures while offering abrasion and moisture resilience. It reduces radiant heat as much as 90% under recommended conditions and resists degradation when exposed to sparks or hot particulates.

• Continuous rated to 1800°F; intermittent exposure up to 2500°F.
• Basalt fiber composition resists corrosion and moisture better than some organic insulations.
• Thin profile keeps clearance requirements minimal in tight installations.
• Helps protect floors, cabinets and nearby surfaces from falling sparks and hot droplets.
