DEWALT TOUGHSERIES Construction Jack 1-Piece DWHT83550 — 340 lb Capacity, Slim-Base Portable Support

The DEWALT TOUGHSERIES Construction Jack (DWHT83550) is a one-piece, step-or-squeeze adjustable jack that lifts and levels materials up to 340 lbs with a slim base for tight clearances.

Built for jobsite efficiency, this single-piece construction jack combines a compact footprint with dual lifting motions and a reinforced trigger for reliable control. It’s designed to help carpenters, framers, and general contractors position materials, support temporary loads, and speed repetitive lifting tasks without bulky equipment.

How does the DEWALT jack make lifting and positioning easier?

The jack offers two ergonomic lift methods (step-to-lift and squeeze-to-lift) so users can choose the motion that fits the task and reduces fatigue. The slim base slides under low-clearance materials, and the metal-ribbed trigger provides a secure grip for repeatable, controlled lifts.

• Two lift modes: step operation or squeeze operation for flexibility
• Slim base profile for access beneath tight applications
• Metal-ribbed trigger improves handling under load

What load capacity and durability features does this model provide?

The DWHT83550 is rated to lift up to 340 pounds, making it suitable for most single-person material handling tasks on construction sites. DEWALT engineered the mechanism and trigger components for rugged use, balancing strength with portability so the jack endures everyday jobsite conditions.

• 340 lb maximum lifting capacity for common construction loads
• Reinforced trigger and ribs for lasting durability
• One-piece construction reduces unwanted play and simplifies use

How do I use this jack safely and efficiently during projects?

Position the slim base under the material, choose step or squeeze lift mode, then raise the support smoothly until the piece is set or leveled. Always confirm the load is stable and within the 340 lb rating and use appropriate blocking or supports for longer-term holds.

• Set jack on firm, level ground and slide base under the load
• Use step or squeeze action to raise material gradually
• Verify load stability and never exceed the rated capacity

What makes this a convenient tool to carry and store on-site?

The single-piece design keeps the jack compact for transport and storage, while the slim base and ergonomic trigger mean it can be employed quickly in confined spaces. Minimal setup and a lightweight footprint speed tasks where time and space are limited.

• Compact one-piece form factor for easy storage and transport
• Slim-base shape fits tight, under-clearance situations
• Quick to deploy—no complex assembly required
