DGSL 5D Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap Film 2.7in x 33ft — Black Door Edge & Sill Protector, Self-Adhesive Air-Release

DGSL's 5D carbon fiber vinyl is a self-adhesive, stretchable door edge and sill protector that delivers textured protection and a sleek black finish for most vehicles.

This automotive-grade vinyl wrap combines a layered carbon-fiber appearance with a flexible construction to shield door edges, sills and trim from scuffs and everyday wear. Sized at 2.7 inches wide and 33 feet long, the roll gives enough coverage for multiple doors or several projects, while the self-adhesive backing and air-release texture make it straightforward to apply and reposition during installation.

How will this wrap protect my car's door edges and sills?

The DGSL film forms a thin, durable barrier between painted surfaces and rubbing items like shoes, luggage, or keys. Its textured 5D finish scatters light and hides minor scratches, while the vinyl resists stains and moisture so surfaces stay cleaner longer.

• Protects against scrapes and scuffs on door edges and sill plates
• Waterproof and stain-resistant surface that wipes clean
• Textured finish helps conceal small marks and wear

Is it easy to install and will it fit curved surfaces?

Yes—this vinyl is engineered to conform to many contours and can be stretched and shaped with heat for complex curves. The adhesive backing includes micro-channels to reduce trapped air, enabling a smooth, bubble-free finish when applied carefully.

• Self-adhesive backing with air-release channels for fewer bubbles
• Heat-activated stretchability for molding around curves and corners
• Trimable width lets you customize coverage for different areas

Will it damage paint or leave sticky residue when removed?

DGSL vinyl is designed for clean removal when peeled off correctly, minimizing the risk of adhesive residue or paint damage. Allowing the film to warm slightly with sunlight or a hair dryer before removal usually eases the process and keeps the underlying finish intact.

• Removes cleanly when warmed and peeled slowly
• Formulated for minimal residue on typical automotive paints
• Safe for temporary or long-term applications when used as instructed

How durable is the finish and how should I care for it?

The vinyl is UV-protected and built to resist fading and staining under normal conditions. Routine cleaning with mild soap and water keeps the surface looking fresh; avoid abrasive cleaners or strong solvents to preserve the textured finish.

• UV-protected for reduced fading over time
• Simple maintenance: wash with soap and water, dry with soft cloth
• Avoid aggressive solvents or scouring pads that could dull texture

Who is this for? This DGSL 5D carbon fiber wrap is intended for car owners, detailers and DIY enthusiasts who want an affordable, attractive way to protect and customize door edges, sills and trim. It's also useful for hobbyists wrapping interior pieces, electronics, or small body panels who need a textured, black finish that stretches around curves and removes without excessive residue.
