Dupli-Color Caliper Paint Spray Gloss Yellow — 11 oz, Heat‑Resistant Ceramic-Enriched Finish

Dupli-Color Caliper Aerosol Paint in gloss yellow is a high-gloss, heat-tolerant enamel spray formulated to protect and brighten brake calipers up to high operating temperatures. Give your brake calipers a showroom-ready finish while adding a durable protective layer designed for the harsh conditions around wheels. This 11 oz aerosol delivers a ceramic-enhanced enamel that stands up to brake dust, road chemicals, and mechanical wear, drying quickly to a glossy yellow finish that enhances visual appeal and resists everyday damage.

How does this spray stand up to heat and wheel harshness?

The Dupli-Color formula incorporates ceramic resins that help the coating endure elevated temperatures typical at the caliper surface, while maintaining gloss and adhesion. It’s engineered for exposure to brake dust, cleaners, and road grime without immediate breakdown.

• Heat-resistant formulation rated for high-temperature operation.
• Ceramic-enriched enamel for improved durability.
• Resists chipping and chemical attack from common automotive fluids.
• Fast-drying to reduce time off the road.

Can I apply this without removing the caliper from the vehicle?

The aerosol is intended for calipers that have been removed for best surface access and finish. If you prefer not to remove calipers, Dupli-Color also offers a brush-on kit designed for in-place application that includes cleaner, brush, and masking materials.

• Aerosol ideal when calipers are off the vehicle for full coverage.
• Brush-on kit available for on-vehicle application.
• Use included cleaner or equivalent to remove oils and brake residue first.
• Mask surrounding components to avoid overspray and ensure crisp edges.

What surface prep and application steps give the best long-term finish?

Good prep yields the most durable result: thoroughly clean and degrease, scuff the surface lightly for adhesion, and apply multiple thin coats rather than one heavy layer. Allow recommended flash and cure times between coats to build an even, hard film.

• Degrease with aerosol or caliper cleaner to remove brake residue.
• Lightly abrade surfaces for mechanical grip (sand or scuff pad).
• Spray several light coats, keeping can 8–12 inches away from parts.
• Observe manufacturer drying and cure times before reinstalling wheels.

How will this color and finish affect appearance and maintenance?

Gloss yellow provides high-visibility contrast that highlights wheel details and gives a performance-inspired look. The glossy enamel finish cleans easily; routine rinsing and mild detergents remove brake dust without harming the coating when properly cured.

• High-gloss finish reflects light for vivid visual impact.
• Spoils and brake dust are easier to rinse off than matte finishes.
• Periodic gentle cleaning extends the painted surface life.
• Inspect for chips after heavy road use and touch up as needed.

Who is this for? This aerosol caliper paint suits enthusiasts and DIY mechanics who want a bright, resilient finish and are able to remove calipers for the cleanest application. If you need to refinish calipers without removal, consider the companion brush-on kit; for anyone seeking a quick, high-gloss visual upgrade combined with improved resistance to brake dust and chemicals, this gloss yellow aerosol is a practical choice.
