DuPont Degreaser for Chains, Gears & Industrial Parts — 11oz Aerosol 3-Pack, Biodegradable Fast-Acting Cleaner

DuPont Degreaser is a fast-acting, biodegradable aerosol cleaner formulated to remove grease, grime, and wax from chains, sprockets, gears and metal parts without harming sealed O‑rings or clear-coated finishes.

This 11oz spray comes in a convenient aerosol format for quick, targeted cleaning where scrubbing or rinsing isn’t practical. Independently tested safe for O‑ring, X‑ring and Z‑ring sealed chains, the formula penetrates links and hard-to-reach crevices to dissolve buildup in seconds. Low-odor and non-toxic by design, it’s suitable for motorcycle drivetrains, bicycles, ATVs, agricultural equipment and industrial machinery while minimizing environmental impact through a biodegradable formulation.

How does this degreaser remove heavy grime without scrubbing?

The formula contains active solvents that dissolve oils, waxes and road sludge on contact so contaminants lift away from metal surfaces. Spray directly into chain links, gears or bearings and allow a few seconds for the solvent action before wiping or blowing residue clear.

• Fast-acting solvent system that penetrates tight joints
• No mechanical scrubbing required for typical buildup
• Spray-and-wipe workflow reduces maintenance time
• Aerosol delivery for precise, vertical and overhead use

Will it damage O‑ring, X‑ring or Z‑ring chains?

DuPont Degreaser is independently tested and formulated to be safe for sealed chains including O‑ring, X‑ring and Z‑ring types. It cleans without swelling or degrading common elastomer seals when used as directed, preserving chain life and lubricant retention.

• Approved for use on sealed chain designs
• Non-swelling solvent blend protects elastomers
• Compatible with typical chain lubricants after drying
• Rinse-free application lowers risk of corrosion from water

Can it be used on painted, plated or chrome surfaces?

Yes — the low-odor, non-toxic formula is safe for chrome and clear-coated paint when applied sparingly and wiped off. It’s designed to clean metal components and finishes without stripping protective coatings or causing discoloration.

• Safe on chrome, clear coats and most metals
• Use a microfiber or lint-free cloth for best results
• Avoid prolonged soaking on delicate plastics or decals
• Test on a hidden area for unusual or aged finishes

What makes this degreaser environmentally and user friendly?

Formulated to be 100% biodegradable with low odor and non-toxic ingredients, this product reduces exposure risk for users and minimizes environmental persistence compared with traditional solvents like kerosene. The aerosol format also delivers controlled application to limit waste.

• Biodegradable active ingredients for reduced environmental impact
• Low-odor profile for more comfortable use indoors or in garages
• Non-toxic classification for safer handling
• Aerosol spray for accurate, low-waste application

Who is this for: Maintenance technicians, motorcyclists, cyclists, ATV and tractor owners, and industrial maintenance crews who need a fast, on-the-spot cleaner that safely removes heavy grease without rinsing or harming sealed chain components. If you want a compact aerosol that cleans drivetrains, gears and metal parts quickly while being kinder to seals and the environment, this DuPont 11oz degreaser is designed for that purpose.
