The E-cowlboy 10102 universal joint puller and 5192 bearing cup installer combine to remove seized u-joint bearing cups and press new cups back in quickly without damaging yokes or driveshafts.
Built for heavy-duty commercial drivelines, these two professional-grade tools tackle stubborn universal joints found on Class 6–8 trucks and large machinery. The puller accepts 1.5" to 2.2" cups and is designed for use with up to a 1" impact wrench, while the installer aligns and seats bolt-retained bearing cups precisely. Constructed from hardened carbon steel with a black anodized finish, the set offers corrosion resistance and long service life for fleet maintenance shops and DIY technicians alike.
The 10102 uses a high-leverage forcing system that transfers impact force directly to the bearing cup, extracting it uniformly without prying on the yoke. It works with heavy-impact tools to free even rusted or press-fit cups quickly. Engineered contact points minimize marring to adjacent components during removal.
The 5192 installer centers the cup and applies steady, controlled force to seat bolt-retained bearing cups squarely in the yoke. Its geometry automatically aligns cups, reducing the chance of crooked installation or interference. That helps prevent premature bearing wear and speeds up rebuilds on the workbench or vehicle.
This combination is made for the common heavy-duty driveline families from Spicer and Meritor and fits most Class 7 and 8 trucks and associated machinery. It supports Spicer 1610/1710/1760/1810/1880, Meritor 16N/17N/18N/1710, Spicer SPL Life Series and Meritor RPL Permalube variants. That broad compatibility makes it a practical choice for fleet maintenance and vocational shops.
Manufactured from premium-grade carbon steel and treated with a black anodized finish, both tools resist rust and tolerate high torque during repetitive operations. High hardness and precision machining extend lifespan under hard use, while the simple mechanical design makes them easy to clean and store between jobs. E-cowlboy backs the set with a 12‑month warranty and a 30‑day return window for added peace of mind.
Who is this for: technicians, fleet mechanics, and serious DIYers who service medium- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment. If you regularly remove and install bolt‑retained universal joint cups on Class 6–8 drivelines, or maintain Spicer and Meritor driveline series, this puller/installer set provides a faster, safer alternative to improvised methods and helps protect driveshaft components during service.
