Ethos Handcrafted Car Care Defy 3-in-1 Ceramic Spray — Waterless Wash, Spray Wax & Hydrophobic SiO2 Top Coat

Ethos Defy is a 3-in-1 ceramic spray that cleans, polishes and lays down a hydrophobic SiO2-rich top coat in seconds for a glossy, protected finish.

Designed for quick maintenance and on-the-spot detailing, Ethos Defy combines surfactants, polishing agents and proprietary Insta-Bond polymers to remove light soils while leaving a durable, non-stick ceramic layer. It works as a waterless wash, a spray wax and a polymer sealant—so you can refresh paint, trim and glass without a hose, then enjoy easier cleaning for weeks afterward.

How quickly does Ethos Defy clean and protect a vehicle?

Ethos Defy was formulated for instant results: spray, wipe, and the surface is cleaned and coated in a single pass. The blend of mild cleaners and Insta-Bond polymers lifts dust and grime while depositing a slick SiO2-rich finish that beads water and limits soiling.

• Single-step application: spray onto a panel and wipe with a microfiber.
• Removes light dirt, dust, fingerprints and light oxidation.
• Leaves an immediate hydrophobic layer for easier future cleaning.

Will this product harm paint, trim, or other surfaces?

Ethos Defy is pH-balanced and formulated to be safe on painted surfaces, clear coats, plastics, chrome and glass when used as directed. It is non-abrasive and avoids streaking or scratching when applied with a clean microfiber towel.

• Safe on automotive paint, clear coat and plastic trim.
• Non-abrasive polish action reduces light swirl visibility without aggressive rubbing.
• Recommended use: clean microfiber and light pressure for best results.

How durable is the hydrophobic protection and what does Insta-Bond do?

Insta-Bond technology deposits engineered polymers that form a slick, water-repellent barrier. While not a permanent ceramic cure, the polymer-rich top coat increases bead, sheeting and dirt resistance for weeks under regular driving conditions.

• SiO2-enhanced polymers boost water beading and sheeting behavior.
• Ideal for short- to medium-term protection and ease of maintenance.
• Reapply as part of routine upkeep or after heavy washing for consistent performance.

How should I use Ethos Defy for best results?

Work in shaded, cool conditions and apply one panel at a time. Spray a light mist, wipe with a clean microfiber in gentle overlapping passes, then flip the towel to buff to a glossy finish.

• Start with cool surfaces and avoid direct sun to prevent rapid drying.
• Use at least two clean microfiber towels: one to spread and one to buff.
• Spot-test on vertical or hidden areas if concerned about lifted contaminants.

Who is this for? Ethos Defy is aimed at car owners, detailers and enthusiasts who need a fast, waterless maintenance solution that both improves appearance and leaves a hydrophobic finish. It’s a practical choice for apartment dwellers, boat owners, motorcycle riders, RV users and anyone wanting a low-effort way to polish light imperfections and protect surfaces between deeper detailing sessions.
