EVIL ENERGY 3.0-inch Exhaust Clamp Narrow-Band Stainless Steel 2PCS — 1.22in Band, 360° Compression Seal

This clamp set provides a removable, corrosion-resistant connection for exhaust components where space is limited. Each clamp uses a 1.22-inch (31 mm) wide band to deliver a 360° compression seal and includes hardware sized to fit a 3.0-inch outer diameter to inner diameter slip-fit joint. Built from 304 stainless steel with a zinc-plated bolt, steel gasket, and aluminum alloy I-block, the design emphasizes even force distribution and straightforward installation for DIYers and professional mechanics alike.

How does this clamp join exhaust pipes without welding?

The clamp wraps around the slip-fit junction and tightens the band to compress the gasket and pipe surfaces. It creates a secure mechanical seal that can be installed with common hand tools, avoiding the time and equipment needed for welding.

• Fits 3.0" OD-ID slip-fit connections.
• 1.22" (31 mm) band width concentrates sealing force in narrow spaces.
• Includes a steel gasket and I-block to ensure even clamping force.
• Tighten to recommended torque (63 N·m) for best seal.

What materials are used and why do they matter?

The clamp combines corrosion-resistant metals chosen for exhaust environments to extend service life while maintaining strength at high temperatures. Using 304 stainless steel for the band resists rust, while the zinc-plated bolt and aluminum I-block reduce galvanic wear and keep costs reasonable.

• 304 stainless steel band for rust resistance and durability.
• Zinc-plated M10 bolt and nut for reliable fastening.
• Steel gasket improves sealing between pipe surfaces.
• Aluminum alloy I-block distributes load and reduces deformation.

How do I install the EVIL ENERGY 3.0" narrow band clamp correctly?

Installation is straightforward: test-fit the pipes, apply exhaust sealant if desired, position the gasket and band around the joint, then tighten the bolt evenly until the specified torque is reached. Always recheck alignment and torque after a short break-in drive.

• Clean mating pipe surfaces and fit gasket onto slip-fit joint.
• Place band evenly around the joint and engage the I-block with the bolt.
• Hand-start nut and bolt, then tighten to 63 N·m with a torque wrench.
• Test for leaks and retighten after the first heat cycle if needed.

Will this clamp work for my muffler, catalytic converter, or pipe repairs?

Yes—this clamp is intended for general exhaust connections where a 3.0" slip-fit exists. It’s a practical option for repairing or joining pipes, securing muffler inlets, or attaching catalytic converters without permanent welding.

• Designed specifically for 3.0" OD-ID slip-fit pairings.
• Ideal where welding isn’t possible or desired.
• Reusable for service access or future repairs.
• Use exhaust sealant for improved leak resistance in high-vibration applications.

Who is this for? The EVIL ENERGY 3.0" narrow band exhaust clamp 2-pack is suited to mechanics, automotive hobbyists, and fleet technicians who need a compact, corrosion-resistant fastening solution for 3.0" exhaust joints. It’s particularly helpful when space is tight, welding isn’t practical, or a removable connection is preferred for maintenance and inspection.
