EVIL ENERGY 6AN Female to 3/8" Barb Straight Swivel Aluminum Fitting, 2pc — 6061‑T6, 1500 PSI

EVIL ENERGY 6AN female to 3/8" barb straight swivel fittings are 6061‑T6 aluminum connectors designed to join AN‑threaded lines to 3/8" hose quickly and reliably, sold as a two‑piece set.

These straight swivel adapters convert a 6AN (9/16-18UNF) flare‑type fitting to a 3/8" barb, offering a lightweight, corrosion‑resistant option for fuel, oil, coolant, and vacuum hose assemblies where a secure push‑in connection is needed. Built from aerospace‑grade 6061‑T6 aluminum and using a 37° flare seal on the AN side, the fittings combine a high working pressure rating with a broad temperature range, making them suitable for performance and maintenance applications on cars, motorcycles, and industrial equipment.

How does the 6AN female side seal and attach to AN tubing?

The female 6AN connection uses a 37° flare seating surface that mates with standard AN male fittings to create a metal‑to‑metal seal. This flared interface prevents leaks under pressure when properly torqued and aligned.

• Thread size: 6AN = 9/16‑18 UNF for compatibility with AN systems.
• Sealing method: 37° flare angle on the AN face for metal seal integrity.
• Swivel feature: allows rotation during installation to ease hose routing.
• Torque: tighten to recommended AN torque values; avoid over‑tightening.

What hose and pressure limits apply to the 3/8" barb end?

The barb end is sized for 3/8" internal diameter hose and provides secure retention when used with hose clamps. The fitting is rated to a working pressure of 1500 PSI, and its temperature range spans -65°F to 252°F, covering common automotive and light industrial fluids.

• Barb outer dimension: fits 3/8" ID hose for tight engagement.
• Working pressure: 1500 PSI suitable for many fuel, oil, and coolant lines.
• Temperature range: -65°F to 252°F for broad operational conditions.
• Recommended: use clamps for reliable hose retention under pressure.

What materials and durability can I expect from these aluminum fittings?

Manufactured from 6061‑T6 aluminum, these adapters offer a balance of strength, low weight, and resistance to corrosion compared with standard steel. The anodized or finished surface (depending on supplier batch) helps resist wear, while the metal flare interface provides a durable sealing surface.

• Material: 6061‑T6 aircraft‑grade aluminum for strength and lightness.
• Finish: corrosion‑resistant surface treatment for longevity.
• Durability: suitable for repeated assembly/disassembly when maintained.
• Swivel capability: reduces hose stress and eases installation angles.

How do I install these fittings safely and effectively?

Installation is straightforward: thread the 6AN female end to the corresponding AN male fitting until the 37° seats, then push the hose onto the barb and secure it with an appropriate clamp. The swivel design permits final orientation adjustments without stressing the hose or damaging threads.

• Thread the 6AN female to the male AN fitting and tighten to spec.
• Push the 3/8" ID hose fully onto the barb for full engagement.
• Use a quality hose clamp to prevent slippage under pressure.
• Rotate swivel to desired routing before final clamp tightening.

Who is this for: These EVIL ENERGY 6AN female to 3/8" barb straight swivel fittings are intended for DIY mechanics, tuners, and shop professionals who need a compact, high‑pressure adapter between AN hardware and 3/8" flexible hose. They suit fuel systems, oil coolers, vacuum lines, and other fluid circuits where a robust metal flare seal and the convenience of a barb connection are required. Choose these fittings when you want a lightweight, corrosion‑resistant connector with predictable pressure and temperature performance—remember to use clamps and proper AN torque practices for safe, lasting installations.
