EVIL ENERGY Transmission Oil Cooler Hose 5/16" 5FT — 250 PSI CPE Heat- and Oil-Resistant

EVIL ENERGY 5/16" Transmission Oil Cooler Hose is a 5-foot, CPE-built line rated to 250 psi designed to connect your transmission to an oil cooler with heat- and oil-resistant reliability.

This hose is engineered to meet SAE J1532 expectations for transmission and oil cooler connections. It combines a chemical- and temperature-resistant chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) compound with reinforced construction to deliver dependable performance across a wide working temperature range and common automotive fluids. The compact 5/16" inner diameter and 5-foot length make it a direct-fit replacement or upgrade for many passenger vehicles, light trucks, and aftermarket cooler installations.

What specifications should I check to confirm fitment?

Verify inner diameter, overall size, length and pressure ratings to ensure the hose matches your application. Measure the fittings and routing path to confirm the 5-foot length and minimum bend radius work for your installation.

• Inner diameter (ID): 5/16 inch / 8 mm
• Outer diameter (OD): 0.55 inch / 14 mm
• Length: 5 feet (1.52 m)
• Minimum bend radius: 72 mm

How durable is this hose under heat, pressure, and fluid exposure?

The CPE material and construction are selected for resistance to oil, transmission fluid, and heat, providing stable service across extreme conditions. Rated working pressure and burst pressure give clear operational limits for safe installation and use.

• Working pressure: 250 psi for routine operation
• Burst pressure: 1000 psi for safety margin
• Temperature capability: -40°F to 257°F (-40°C to 125°C)
• Good chemical resistance to oils, lubricants, hydraulic fluids and some gases

How do I install and route the hose to avoid premature wear?

Plan a route that avoids sharp edges, tight bends, and heat sources such as exhaust components. Use appropriate hose clamps and support to prevent chafing and movement; observe the minimum bend radius to maintain flow and hose integrity.

• Use SAE-compatible clamps sized to the 5/16" ID
• Maintain a 72 mm or larger bend radius where possible
• Secure with brackets or clip mounts to prevent vibration wear
• Avoid direct contact with exhaust headers or turbo housings

What fluids and systems is this hose suitable for?

Designed for transmission cooler lines, this CPE hose is compatible with a broad set of automotive and industrial fluids. It is not intended for human-consumable liquids; confirm compatibility with specialty fluids before extended exposure.

• Transmission fluid and oil
• Hydraulic fluid and lubricants
• Some gases used in vehicle systems (verify specific gas compatibility)
• Not intended for potable water or food-grade use

Who is this for: This EVIL ENERGY hose is aimed at mechanics, DIY enthusiasts, and performance shops needing a dependable, SAE J1532–style transmission cooler line. It suits anyone replacing worn cooler lines, building custom transmission cooling setups, or retrofitting aftermarket oil coolers on cars and light trucks where a compact 5/16" hose with strong pressure and temperature tolerance is required.
