Fancat’s 3/8" marine fuel line is a 25-foot, SAE J1527 Type A1-15 rubber hose engineered for outboards, inboard/outboard systems, and general marine fuel transfer.
Built for recreational and commercial boats, this fuel line combines a nitrile inner tube with a NBR/PVC outer cover and polyester braid to balance flexibility, strength, and resistance to fuel-related degradation. The hose meets SAE J1527 Type A1-15 specifications and delivers low permeation, UV and saltwater resistance, and a wide operating temperature range—making it a practical replacement or upgrade for 3/8" marine fuel hoses.
The construction materials—an NBR inner layer and NBR/PVC outer jacket—were chosen to resist gasoline, diesel, E85, and common marine additives without rapid swelling or cracking. Polyester braid provides mechanical reinforcement so the hose keeps its shape and resists abrasion from chafe and fittings.
This hose has a 3/8" inner diameter (9.8 mm) and a 17.3 mm outer diameter, sized to replace typical 3/8" marine lines and work with common marine clamps and barbed fittings. The 25-foot coil gives enough length for routing through engine compartments and bilge areas without requiring joins in many installations.
Designed for marine operating demands, the hose offers a 300 PSI working pressure and a 900 PSI burst pressure for robust performance around engines and pumps. It maintains flexibility and functional integrity from -40°C to 105°C (-104°F to 221°F), accommodating cold-storage and hot-engine conditions commonly encountered on boats.
Fancat backs this fuel line with a three-year no-hassle warranty and U.S.-based customer support available around the clock, so you have help for installation questions or product concerns. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not replace the need to follow proper installation and maintenance practices to prevent leaks or abrasion.
Who is this for? Boat owners, mechanics, and marinas needing a dependable 3/8" fuel line replacement will find this Fancat hose suitable for small to medium outboard and inboard/outboard engines, auxiliary fuel systems, and fuel transfer lines. It’s especially useful for users who want SAE-certified compatibility, low vapor permeation, and a weatherproof hose that handles both coastal exposure and temperature extremes. If you need longer runs, multiple fittings, or specialized connectors, pair the hose with appropriate marine-grade clamps, inline filters, and professional installation to ensure a safe, compliant fuel system.
Q: Is this hose compatible with E85 and diesel?
A: Yes. The NBR inner layer and SAE J1527 Type A1-15 rating make it compatible with gasoline, diesel, E85, and common marine additives.
Q: What is the minimum bend radius for installation?
A: Minimum bend radius is 3.15 inches (80 mm); avoid sharper bends to prevent kinks and ensure flow.
