Fanmoss Brake Line Flaring Tool Kit is a stainless-steel bench-mounted kit that makes precise 45° single, double, and bubble flares on 3/16"–3/8" tubing for brake, fuel, and transmission cooler lines.
This compact kit gathers the cones, dies, clamp, and T-handle screw needed to produce consistent, leak-resistant flares in soft metals and common steels. Designed for use with a bench or hitch vise (not under-car vise application), the toolset speeds repairs and reduces trial-and-error, giving technicians and DIYers reliable flare geometry every time.
The Fanmoss kit uses interchangeable cones and die blocks to form single 45° flares, double (inverted) flares and bubble-style flares. Change the cone and the die position, clamp the tube, and advance the T-handle screw to shape the metal uniformly without deforming the tubing ID.
This kit works with soft metals and common automotive tubing: copper, aluminum, 304 stainless, and mild steel. Its die set covers the most frequently used diameters for brake and fuel systems so you can repair or fabricate lines without constant tool changes.
Preparation and lubrication are the keys: deburr the tube inside and out, apply a light anti-seize to the cut end, and oil the flaring cones for smooth forming. Secure the die assembly in a bench or hitch vise, tighten the clamp, then advance the T-handle evenly to avoid uneven flares.
Yes—the components are heat treated and oxidation-finished stainless steel built for frequent cycles and resistance to wear. The robust construction and tested design deliver consistent 45° flares, helping professionals save time and hobbyists avoid rework.
Who is this for: The Fanmoss Brake Line Flaring Tool Kit is built for professional mechanics, restoration enthusiasts, and DIYers who work on brake, fuel, or transmission cooler lines and need reliable, repeatable flares across common tube sizes. If you frequently make or repair flared connections and want a durable, vise-mounted kit with double and bubble flare capability, this set covers the essential sizes and operations without pro shop complexity.
Q: Can this kit flare stainless steel tubing?
A: Yes, it works with 304 stainless and steel tubing, but deburr and lubricate for best results.
Q: Do I need a special vise to use the tool?
A: No special vise required; a bench or hitch-mounted vise is recommended for secure clamping.
