FILA Surface Care Solutions Silicone Finishing Kit — 24oz Smoothing Spray with Caulk Tool, RapidDry for Cleaner Joints

FILA Surface Care Solutions Silicone Finishing Kit is a 24oz smoothing spray plus caulk finishing tool that makes fresh silicone sealants easier to shape, smooth and finish without residue.

The FILA Silicone Finishing Kit pairs a rapid-dry Silicone Refiner spray with an easy-to-use caulk smoothing tool to improve the look and performance of silicone joints. Designed for all common sealant colors and formulations, the kit helps eliminate bubbles, speeds finishing, and is safe for interior and exterior surfaces when tested with your chosen sealant. One 24oz canister provides up to an indicative 350 linear meters per coat, though actual yield depends on application and material properties.

How does the SILICONE REFINER make caulking faster and neater?

The spray temporarily reduces surface tension on fresh silicone so the bead can be shaped cleanly before it skins over. That means fewer passes with a tool, reduced air pockets, and a smoother joint profile in less time. RapidDry technology accelerates handling so you can continue work without long waits.

• Spray once over the wet bead before tooling to improve workability.
• Reduces air-bubble formation during finishing.
• Speeds tack-free time so follow-up tasks proceed sooner.
• Compatible with both manual trowels and the included caulk tool.

Will this kit work with different silicone types and colors?

Yes — FILA's formula is compatible with transparent, white, black, brown and sprayable silicones as well as a wide range of sealant chemistries. Always test on a small area with your specific sealant to confirm finish and compatibility before large-scale use. The product is formulated not to leave visible residue when used as directed.

• Suitable for neutral and acetoxy silicones and colored sealants.
• Effective on both cartridge and gun-applied beads.
• Safe for aluminum, steel profiles and common building materials when tested.
• Leaves no film or staining when properly applied and finished.

How should I apply the spray and caulk tool for professional results?

Apply the sealant bead as usual, then before a surface film forms, lightly spray the Silicone Refiner along the joint. Use the included caulk smoothing tool or any silicone trowel to shape and level the bead; for radial or patterned templates, re-spray and re-tool to correct imperfections. Always trial the sequence on scrap material to determine timing for your environment.

• Step 1: Lay the silicone bead evenly along the joint.
• Step 2: Spray SILICONE REFINER once across the wet bead before skinning.
• Step 3: Tool the joint with the included caulk finisher; re-spray if needed for templates.
• Step 4: Allow to cure per sealant manufacturer guidelines.

Who is this for: The FILA Silicone Finishing Kit is built for tilers, glaziers, installers, maintenance pros and DIYers who want a faster, cleaner silicone finish. It’s ideal when you need consistent joint profiles on kitchens, bathrooms, façades or metal-to-glass work, and for anyone aiming to reduce rework caused by air bubbles or poor tooling. Because performance depends on the sealant used, keep a small compatibility test as part of every job.
