GoaMotors Oval Metal Floor Pan Drain Plug Covers for GM 1962–1981 — 6‑Pack, Durable OEM‑Style Finish

These six oval metal drain plug covers by GoaMotors replace worn or missing floor pan drain plugs on many GM cars and trucks from 1962–1981, restoring a factory look and keeping contaminants out. If you own a classic Chevrolet or other GM vehicle from the stated years, damaged or absent drain plug covers can let water, dirt, and road grime access the floor pan cavity and underbody. GoaMotors offers a pack of six oval metal covers engineered to match the appearance and fit of original-style plugs used across numerous GM models. Constructed from durable metal, these covers offer a neat, low-profile finish that’s easy to install and designed for long-term service in restoration and maintenance projects.

Which GM models and years will these drain plug covers fit?

These oval covers are intended for compatibility with many General Motors vehicles produced between 1962 and 1981, a common span for classic Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick floor pan designs. Exact fit depends on original plug size and hole pattern; confirm dimensions before ordering.

• Designed for GM floor pan drain plug openings used on many 1962–1981 models
• Works for Chevrolet families as well as select Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick vehicles
• Sold as a set of six to cover multiple drain locations or future spares
• Best used where the factory-style oval cover was originally fitted

How easy is installation, and what tools will I need?

Installation is straightforward for most mechanically inclined owners and restoration shops. Typically the cover presses or secures into the existing floor pan aperture; minimal hand tools are required unless rust or deformation needs repair.

• Push-fit or OEM-style securing—no complex modification expected
• Simple tools like pliers or a flathead may be all that’s required
• If the opening is rusted, light metalwork or replacement of surrounding material may be necessary
• Sold in a 6-piece pack so you can fit all drain points at once

What are these covers made of and how durable are they?

GoaMotors manufactures these drain plug covers from stable, long-lasting metal designed to resist everyday wear from road exposure. While not impervious to extreme corrosion, their metal construction provides improved durability and a factory-accurate appearance compared with brittle plastic alternatives.

• Made from durable metal for longevity and a classic look
• More resistant to impact and deformation than thin plastic plugs
• Suitable for repair, restoration, or maintenance of vintage GM vehicles
• Pack quantity: 6 covers to replace multiple plugs or keep spares

Who is this for? This six-pack is aimed at classic-car owners, restoration shops, and DIY mechanics who need authentic-looking, robust drain pan covers for GM vehicles built between 1962 and 1981. If you’re refurbishing floor pans, replacing missing or damaged plugs, or simply want to maintain a clean underbody finish with parts that match period-correct style, these GoaMotors metal covers provide an economical, practical option. Verify hole dimensions and compare to your vehicle’s original drain plug shape before purchase to ensure a proper fit.
