Goodyear Eagle RS‑A all‑season performance tire 245/45R18 96V — quiet ride, responsive handling

Goodyear Eagle RS-A 245/45R18 96VR is an all-season performance radial tire engineered to balance confident handling, year‑round traction, and a quiet ride for sporty coupes and sedans.

The Eagle RS-A combines an asymmetric tread pattern with aggressive shoulder blocks and wide lateral grooves to deliver responsive cornering and dependable grip across wet, dry, and light snowy conditions. Designed as an all‑season touring tire, it focuses on even wear, steering precision, and comfort so drivers get stable performance without sacrificing ride quality.

How does this tire improve cornering and steering feel?

The Eagle RS-A uses aggressive shoulder tread blocks and an asymmetric construction to increase lateral stiffness where it's needed most. That creates crisper steering inputs and more stable behavior through turns while preserving ride comfort on straight stretches.

• Aggressive shoulder blocks concentrate rubber at the edge for stronger lateral grip.
• Asymmetric tread distributes forces for balanced handling and stability.
• Sturdy sidewall tuning helps maintain contact patch during cornering.

Will it handle wet and variable weather reliably?

Wide lateral grooves evacuate water rapidly to reduce hydroplaning risk and maintain traction in rainy conditions. The tread compound and siping pattern also provide predictable bite on light snow, making this tire suitable for drivers who need year‑round capability without switching to dedicated winter rubber.

• Wide lateral grooves channel water away from the contact patch for improved wet traction.
• Siping and tread design enhance bite on slushy or lightly snowy roads.
• All‑season compound balances wet grip with tread wear longevity.

How does it perform on noise, comfort, and long-term wear?

Engineered as an all‑season touring tire, the Eagle RS-A prioritizes a quiet cabin and consistent tread wear. The asymmetric design smooths out road noise patterns while promoting even distribution of contact forces to help extend tread life under normal driving conditions.

• Asymmetric tread reduces harmonic noise for a quieter ride.
• Touring focus yields a smoother ride and comfort at highway speeds.
• Optimized tread geometry supports even wear and mileage retention.

What vehicle fit and load/speed rating should I expect?

This listing is for a 245/45R18 size with a 96V or 96VR service rating, commonly used on sporty sedans and coupes that require a balance of load capacity and high‑speed stability. Verify your vehicle's recommended size and load index before purchase for safe, compliant fitment.

• Size: 245/45R18 — fits many mid‑to‑large sporty sedans and coupes.
• Load index 96 supports typical passenger plus cargo loads for this class.
• Speed rating V/VR indicates capability up to industry standard high speeds when properly inflated.
