Griot's Garage Rinseless Wash — 35 oz Concentrate Car Cleaner, No-Rinse High-Lubricity

Griot's Garage Rinseless Wash is a concentrated, high-lubricity no-rinse car wash that cleans, protects, and shines paint using just 1 oz per 2 gallons of water.

Designed for people who want professional results without a hose, this formula lifts and traps dirt with slick polymers so you can wipe surfaces clean and dry them without rinsing. It’s formulated to work as a rinseless wash, a clay-bar lubricant, a quick detailer, and a pre-wash—making it a versatile addition to any detailing kit. The low-water method is especially useful where water use is limited, for collector vehicles that benefit from minimal exposure to moisture, or for mobile detailers who need an efficient, repeatable workflow.

How does this rinseless wash reduce the risk of scratches?

The product contains high-lubricity polymers that encapsulate grit and allow dirt to glide off the paint rather than being dragged across it. That slickness lowers friction during wiping, reducing the chance of marring when compared to a dry wipe.

• Advanced lubricants that lift and trap contaminants away from paint.
• Use with a clean microfiber towel to minimize abrasive contact.
• Change buckets or towels when visibly dirty to avoid reintroducing grit.
• Compatible with clay-bar use to further decontaminate without scratching.

What mixing ratio and tools do I need to get started?

Mix 1 ounce of Griot's Garage Rinseless Wash per 2 gallons of clean water for a general exterior wash. For heavier soils or clay-lube use, adjust concentration slightly upward while following safe testing on a small area.

• Standard mix: 1 oz per 2 gallons of water for everyday rinseless washing.
• Tools: two-bucket setup or single bucket with clean microfiber towels and a drying towel.
• Optional: use as clay lubricant or pre-wash by increasing concentration per need.
• Dry with a separate plush microfiber for best results and streak-free shine.

Can this product replace a traditional hose-and-water wash?

For many routines, yes—especially on light to moderate soils. It provides a controlled, water-conserving alternative ideal for driveways, garages, or locations with watering restrictions, but a thorough hose rinse may still be preferable after extreme contamination like heavy mud or salt.

• Perfect for routine maintenance, quick detailing, and delicate surfaces.
• Not intended to remove heavy, caked-on road grime without pre-treating.
• Useful for vehicles where minimizing water contact is desired, such as collectors.
• Combine with a spot pre-wash for particularly dirty areas before rinseless washing.

How else can I use it in my detailing workflow?

Beyond rinseless washing, this concentrate doubles as a clay-bar lubricant and a quick detailer when diluted appropriately. Its slickness aids in paint correction prep and helps protect rust-prone areas by reducing overall water exposure.

• Clay-bar lubricant: increase dilution slightly for extra glide during decontamination.
• Quick detailer: lightly mist diluted solution for spot cleaning and shine boost.
• Pre-correction: remove surface debris safely before polishing or coating.
• Mobile detailing: ideal for jobs where access to a hose is limited or unavailable.

Who is this for? If you are a car owner who values paint preservation, a collector protecting delicate finishes, or a mobile detailer needing efficient, water-saving solutions, Griot's Garage Rinseless Wash is designed to streamline cleaning while minimizing risk. It suits anyone seeking a multi-purpose, concentrated product that reduces water use, improves safety during washing, and integrates into both simple maintenance and professional detailing workflows. Always test a small area when changing concentrations or using on specialty surfaces.
