kingna Hood Protector for 2015–2022 Chevrolet Colorado — Black TPE Bug & Stone Deflector, UV-Stable Fit

Kingna’s Hood Protector is a custom-fit bug and stone deflector designed to protect 2015–2022 Chevrolet Colorado hoods and windshields from chips, scratches, and road debris while resisting UV fade.

If you drive a 2015–2022 Chevrolet Colorado (LT, WT, Z71, or ZR2; Crew Cab or Extended Cab), this hood shield provides a tailored fit that follows the vehicle’s original hood lines. Made from a high-performance composite with UV-stable additives in a TPE matrix, the protector keeps its color and shape through sun exposure and daily wear. Installation is straightforward using the supplied adhesion promoter and double-sided tape, and Kingna includes guidance and a 30-day replacement promise if the part arrives damaged or fails under normal use.

Will this hood protector fit my specific Colorado model years and trim?

Yes — the part is engineered to match 2015–2022 Chevrolet Colorado models across LT, WT, Z71 and ZR2 trims for both Crew Cab and Extended Cab body styles. It does not fit 2023–2025 models, so confirming your year before ordering avoids fitment issues.

• Compatible years: 2015 through 2022 only
• Fits trims: LT, WT, Z71, ZR2
• Body styles: Crew Cab and Extended Cab
• Not compatible with 2023–2025 Colorado models

How durable is the material against sun, oxidation, and chips?

The hood protector uses a composite formulation that embeds UV-resistant components into a thermoplastic elastomer base, which increases resistance to ultraviolet degradation and oxidation. That keeps the shield from yellowing or becoming brittle, while the physical profile helps deflect stones and road grit away from the hood and windshield.

• UV-stable additives prevent fading and discoloration
• TPE base offers flexibility and impact resistance
• Shaped to divert stones and debris over the windshield
• Maintains finish under prolonged sun exposure

What’s involved in installing the hood shield on my Colorado?

Installation is a do-it-yourself process: clean the mounting area, apply the included adhesion promoter, then press the protector into place using the supplied double-sided tape. For best adhesion, work in moderate temperatures; a hair dryer can warm the tape in cold weather, and avoid washing the area for 24 hours after application.

• Surface prep: clean and dry the hood thoroughly
• Use the supplied adhesion promoter at attachment points
• Attach with included thermal double-sided tape; warm tape in cold weather
• Do not expose to water for at least 24 hours after installation

Who is this for? The Kingna Hood Protector is ideal for Colorado owners who want to reduce paint chips, protect their windshield area from road debris, and keep a factory-matched look without permanent modifications. It suits vehicle owners who prefer a straightforward adhesive installation, need UV-stable protection for sunny climates, and drive frequently on highways, gravel roads, or construction zones where flying stones are common. If you own a 2015–2022 Chevrolet Colorado and want a low-profile, long-lasting shield to preserve the front-end finish, this accessory is built for that purpose.
