Kryptonite Motorcycle Alarm Disc Lock 120dB — 6mm Hardened Pin, Weatherproof Auto-Arming

Kryptonite's Motorcycle Alarm Disc Lock is a compact, 120dB motion-activated disc brake lock with a 6mm hardened steel pin that instantly deters tampering. Kryptonite built this alarmed disc lock to deliver audible theft deterrence and durable physical protection in a single, easy-to-use device. Designed for motorcycles, scooters and e-bikes, the lock combines a weatherproof electronics module, a hardened locking pin, and automatic arming so you spend less time fiddling with security and more time riding with confidence.

How loud is the alarm and when does it activate?

The integrated siren produces a 120dB alert that triggers as soon as motion or tampering is detected. The high-decibel alarm is intended to draw attention and discourage opportunistic thieves while you’re away from your vehicle.

• 120dB motion-sensitive alarm for immediate noticeability
• Triggers automatically on vibration or attempted removal
• Designed to attract bystanders and scare off intruders

What materials and construction protect the lock from physical attack?

The lock housing uses a zinc diecast body paired with a 6mm hardened steel locking pin to resist cutting and leverage attempts. The electronics module is weatherproof, allowing dependable operation in rain or shine.

• Rugged zinc diecast exterior for impact resistance
• 6mm hardened steel pin fits rotors up to 6.5mm thick
• Sealed electronics to withstand outdoor conditions

How simple is it to use—does the alarm need manual activation?

Using the lock is straightforward: insert and turn the key to engage the lock and the alarm arms automatically—no separate switch or extra steps are needed. That auto-arming feature reduces user error and keeps protection active after each lock.

• Key-locking mechanism that arms on lock engagement
• No buttons to press or settings to manage
• Quick install and removal for everyday convenience

How long do the batteries last and how versatile is the lock?

The alarm runs on replaceable batteries engineered to provide up to a year of typical use, so you won’t be changing cells frequently. Although optimized for motorcycles and scooters, the compact bracket and pin size make it useful for e-bikes, bicycles, and other personal equipment.

• Replaceable batteries with up to one year of expected life
• Fits disc rotors up to 6.5mm thick for broad compatibility
• Compact design doubles as a practical lock for multiple vehicle types

Who is this for? This Kryptonite alarm disc lock is made for riders who want both audible theft deterrence and a sturdy mechanical barrier without extra setup. It suits motorcyclists, scooter commuters, and e-bike owners who need quick, reliable security at stops, and anyone who values an auto-arming alarm paired with weather-resistant construction. If you park in public places, ride in urban areas, or just prefer a compact, attention-getting deterrent, this lock provides a balanced combination of loud alarm and hardened hardware.
