LATCH.IT RV Step Covers 23" Wide — 4-Pack Camper Step Carpet for 8–11" Deep Stairs, UV-Resistant Double-Layer Protection

LATCH.IT RV Step Covers are heavy-duty, double-layer polyester rugs that wrap around standard RV steps to protect feet, paws, and interiors from dirt and hot metal.

These 23-inch-wide step covers come as a 4-pack engineered to fit 8–11" deep RV stairs and install in minutes using all-metal grommets and tension springs. Built with UV-resistant, double-layer polyester and reinforced hardware, they replace thin, fraying mats and provide a thicker, more durable surface for families and pets. Note: If your top RV step lacks a pass-through hole, these covers will not fit that particular step; electric steps may fold more snugly due to the thicker fabric.

How do LATCH.IT step covers protect my RV and reduce dirt inside?

The design wraps the rug around the full step, creating a barrier that traps debris and prevents it from being carried into the RV. The dense double-layer polyester resists fraying, holds dirt on the surface for easy cleaning, and shields the metal step from wear.

• Full-step coverage seals edges where dirt usually gathers
• Thick polyester fibers capture mud, sand, and pet hair
• UV-resistant face fabric maintains color and resists breakdown
• Easy soap-and-water cleaning keeps the mat sanitary

Will these covers fit my RV steps and how do I install them?

Each rug measures 23" across and fits steps that are between 8" and 11" deep. Tension springs attached to the grommets allow the same cover to adapt to varying step depths; installation is a simple hook-and-snap process that takes just minutes.

• Measure step depth—must be 8"–11" deep for a correct fit
• Slide the rug over the step and align the grommets with the pass-through hole
• Hook springs to the grommets and secure to the step underside
• Check clearance on electric steps; thicker fabric may reduce folding space

How durable are these covers and how do I maintain them?

LATCH.IT builds these step rugs from double-layered polyester with all-metal grommets and springs to resist tearing and component failure. Routine cleaning is straightforward and helps extend life without special products.

• Double-layer polyester resists fraying and wear
• Metal grommets and springs withstand frequent use and weather exposure
• Clean with mild soap, water, and a rinse; air dry
• UV-resistant fabric reduces color fade over time

Do these covers work well for pets and hot-step protection?

The thicker, cushioned surface provides instant comfort and protects paws from hot metal or rough edges. Because the rugs wrap the entire step, they also reduce the risk of slips and make steps friendlier for older pets or small children.

• Padded surface cushions paws and bare feet
• Wraparound fit hides sharp rim edges and reduces heat transfer
• Improves traction to lower slip risk on wet steps
• Easy to remove for pet-safe cleaning

Who is this for: LATCH.IT RV Step Covers are aimed at RV owners who want a long-lasting upgrade from thin step mats—families with kids, pet owners, and travelers who frequently enter and exit their rig. If your steps fall within the specified dimensions (23" wide and 8–11" deep) and your top step has a pass-through hole, this 4-pack offers an easy-to-install, durable way to keep dirt out, protect feet and paws, and improve the look and safety of your stairs. Check electric-step clearance before fitting since the thicker material can make some motorized steps fold more snugly.
