Motion Pro Bead Buddy II Off-Road Tire Bead Holder — Blue Anodized 6061 Aluminum, Compact

Motion Pro 08-0471 Bead Buddy II is a compact aluminum tool that holds the tire bead down in the rim’s drop center to make off-road tire mounting and demounting faster and safer.

When changing off-road tires, keeping the bead positioned in the rim’s center channel removes much of the struggle and reduces reliance on extra hands or improvised wedges. The Bead Buddy II updates the classic design with a sturdy 6061 aluminum body, blue anodized finish and laser-engraved branding so it resists corrosion and stands up to repeated shop use or field repairs.

How does the Bead Buddy II simplify installing off-road tires?

The tool pins the tire bead down into the rim’s drop center so tire irons or spoons can lever the bead over the rim without the bead popping out. That steady hold cuts install time and minimizes the force needed to seat the bead.

• Holds bead in drop center to create slack for tool access
• Compatible with common off-road rim profiles
• Reduces need for a second person during mounting

What are the construction and durability features?

Motion Pro built this version from 6061 aluminum for strength while keeping weight low. The blue anodized surface protects against corrosion and everyday wear, and the laser-engraved logo won’t peel off like printed finishes.

• 6061 aluminum resists bending under normal shop loads
• Anodized finish for corrosion and scratch resistance
• Laser engraving maintains legibility over time

Will it fit my wheels and tires?

The Bead Buddy II is designed for off-road applications and typical rim drop-center dimensions, making it suitable for many dirt bike, ATV and UTV wheels. Always verify fit against your rim profile and tire size before use.

• Works with common off-road rim geometries
• Compact form factor fits between bead and rim well
• Not a substitute for tire-specific tools on unique rims—check compatibility first

How do I use and store the tool safely?

Place the tool so it forces the bead into the rim’s drop center while you lever the opposite bead over the rim flange. After use, wipe clean and store in a toolbox or hang it; the anodized surface helps resist grime and moisture.

• Use with standard tire irons or spoons for easiest results
• Keep away from extreme impacts to preserve geometry
• Clean after muddy or salty conditions to prolong finish

Who is this for: The Motion Pro Bead Buddy II is aimed at riders, mechanics and anyone who regularly mounts off-road tires—dirt bikes, ATVs and UTVs—who want a reliable, lightweight tool to hold the bead in the rim’s drop center while using tire tools. It’s a practical addition for home garages, trail-side repair kits and professional shops that need a durable, corrosion-resistant bead-holding solution.
