MTABCTY Clear License Plate Cover & Frame Set, 2-Pack Black Frames with Polycarbonate Shields — Universal 12.4×6.3in, Scratch & We

MTABCTY’s 2-piece clear license plate cover and frame set protects standard US plates from scratches, weather and fading while keeping numbers fully visible.

Keep your vehicle’s plates readable and looking new with this all-in-one exterior accessory kit. The set includes two black frames, two crystal-clear polycarbonate covers and the screws, caps and washers required for installation. Built to resist corrosion and cracking, the components are sized for standard North American plates and designed for straightforward mounting on most cars and trucks.

How durable is this license plate protector under everyday conditions?

The protector is engineered from high-strength polycarbonate for the clear cover and a sturdy ABS frame, giving it strong impact and weather resistance. UV and corrosion-resistant materials help prevent yellowing or brittleness after prolonged outdoor exposure. While designed for longevity, check local laws prior to use because some states restrict covered plates.

• High-strength polycarbonate clear shield resists scratches and impacts
• ABS frame stays rigid and resists cracking or warping
• Materials formulated to withstand sun, rain and road debris
• Comes with stainless-style screws, caps and washers to reduce rusting

Will it fit my vehicle’s license plates and how easy is installation?

The covers measure to fit the standard 12.4 x 6.3 inch US and Canadian license plates, making this set suitable for most personal vehicles. Installation is a simple process: place the plate between the clear cover and the frame, align the holes, then secure using the supplied fasteners. No special tools are required beyond a standard screwdriver.

• Universal 12.4 x 6.3 inch dimensions for front and rear plates
• Two complete sets for both sides of the vehicle included
• All mounting hardware provided—screws, caps and washers
• Quick, intuitive fit-up—takes only minutes with a screwdriver

How will this protector affect plate visibility and legal compliance?

The cover is optically clear so license numbers and registration decals remain visible when properly installed. Because regulations vary by state, you should verify whether clear covers are permitted where you live—some localities prohibit any cover over plate information. This product makes it easy to install or remove if needed to comply with regulations.

• Crystal-clear polycarbonate preserves plate legibility and decal view
• Closest-fit design minimizes glare and distortion when installed correctly
• Removable hardware allows quick compliance adjustments if required
• Not tinted or obscuring—intended to protect while keeping content readable

Who is this for: Drivers who want low-maintenance protection for their license plates—especially those who park outdoors, travel frequently, or want to prevent chips and scratches from road debris. It’s also a convenient upgrade for vehicle owners who prefer a clean, finished look with the assurance that mounting hardware is included. Always confirm local laws before installing to ensure the cover is permitted in your area.
